I never suspected the lava rock I threw into the firepit was actually an egg. I'm blown away when it hatches to reveal a reptile with a voracious appetite. Cute little bugger, until it learns to talk.

Even if they're telling the truth, I'm not about to hand over my new pet, but how's a woman who inks tattoos for a living supposed to keep a dragon safe? The local pet shop owner—hunky, plaid-wearing Maddox—has a few ideas, but my little dragon isn't keen on running.

Can I keep my dragon out of the clutches of those who'd steal him for personal gain? And if we do have to flee, will Maddox come too? I need all the help I can get with figuring out life with the lizard.

I loved it! it was excellent story, Part of an addictive series with cool characters that came to life with every chapter! Narrator varied her voice, it was fun to listen to!

Interesting and funny

The author didn’t spare her readers any of the funny, romance, snark, or good old fashioned fire breathing. The baddies who were actually evil got theirs. The other one got justice. Abbadon, the teenage dragon, has adults who really love him and one who practically worships him. Great series starter!

A funny, action-packed romance with a dash of sex and violence

Sitting by the campfire, a few after a cataclysmic volcanic eruption, our likeable heroine gets the surprise of her life. Her perfectly cooked steak gets swiped, which is just the beginning of the unpleasant events. Sprinkled with humor, wit, and romance this is a fast moving story filled with likeable characters and some of them are even human...
