Publisher's Summary

It's not against any formal rule for us to sleep together.
It is, however, strictly forbidden to have feelings for each other.
I can't do one without the other at this point.
Which means I am doomed.
When you don’t know who you can trust, reality distorts. It twists and oozes, disintegrating and reformulating to meet whatever needs its masters demand.
Just like me.
Just like Kina.
Except everything is different now that we know who we really are.
But there’s a second reality, you see.
This one can’t be manipulated.
It just is. Solid and true, it takes our mission, our training, our orders, turning them into nothing but secrets and lies.
And this new reality means my old reality is trying to kill everything I love.
Including her.

Get ready for more epic adventure

Get ready for more adventure in the epic form. This is a few years later than book one. Kina and Callum are older. Kina is still at the compound in charge of children. She's accepted her life. Callum has been out on the field. He is back and is in more control. Kina and Callum aren't supposed to have the feelings they do for each other. Callum is surprised to learn how Kina's life has been. And then they both are shocked as they learn truths about their lives and who they are. But there is still so much unanswered and they don't know who to trust. Get ready to hate Stateless even more. But you will love Kina and Callum more. And it's not over. Oh no. You will be on the edge of your seat from start to finish, needing and wanting more. These narrators, as always, knocked it out of the park as Kina and Callum. I really felt they were these characters telling me their story, their inner thoughts and feelings. An epic book that just shows how great this series is.

Intense and all consuming

Wow this is getting seriously intense. I don't know which way is up or down and I don't know who to trust and who is fooling me. I hate that but I love the thrill of it at the same time. I want Kina and Callum's happiness, but at what cost?

Kina is so sweet and wonderful. I love her so much! I love her kindness and love and affection even when it isn't allowed! I love that she is herself even when she fights with herself to try and "correct" it. I hate watching her elevate, it upsets me and I wanted to scream each time.

I want to say I have faith things will get better and things will work out I just don't know if I have full faith. I want Kina and Callum to have a better life and the kids too I want to see happiness and find out all the secrets and hope that things are better than they seem. I guess we will find out in book 3.

No disappointment here.

Second in this new fast paced dystopian series. I have to say, this book moved in so many different directions, there were times I wondered if the twists and back roads could work into a way for Callum and Kina to end up on the higher road. And WOW, the ending is a surprise, making the anticipation for the next book a low hum, as I read other books, waiting for the finale. Don’t miss this one, I do recommend reading Stateless, first. Excellent!

Hooked!

Wow! Book two in the Stateless trilogy is filled with even more plot twists and turns. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t push pause. Andi Arndt and Joe Arden do a fabulous job bringing the story to life. You can feel all of Kina and Callum’s conflicting emotions through their performances. Anxious to start the third book, Fateless to bring the entire trilogy together and finally get answers to all the questions. This book does end of a cliffhanger.

Romantic Suspense

Traceless by Meli Raine is a romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Joe Arden and Andi Arndt. This is the second book in the Stateless trilogy.

I am really enjoying this series! Meli pulled me in from the very first chapter and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I love the relationship between Kina and Callum. The book does end on another amazing cliffhanger so I can’t wait to dive into the final book in the series Fateless.

Joe and Andi did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like romantic suspense, military romance, or psychological thrillers.

New Adult Dystopian Thriller

Part 2 of a trilogy, Traceless is a modern New Adult dystopian story, that picks up the plot immediately where the previous book left us.

This story finished on a nail-biting cliffhanger with Kina and Callum trying to free themselves from Stateless. As with book 1, this novel has a lot of tension, paranoia, and suspicion threaded throughout. I really did not know who was genuine and trustworthy in this novel, and by the end I was definitely on the edge of my seat and gripped by this thoroughly absorbing and engaging plot. There are questions and hopefully answers to be found in the next installment, which I cannot wait to get into.

If you enjoy New Adult dystopian fiction then this will definitely be a series worth listening to. The narrators really brought this story to life.

A new favorite for me!

Meli Raine just may be a new favorite authors for me. I am so glad I got to listen to this series. This story is maddening, and kind of scary to think about. Keena and Callum are reunited and it’s like they were never parted. However he didn’t know they kept her at the compound for the last 9 years.

He lives her... she loves him... and what happens is a lot of hair raising minutes. Does it work for them?? Or does Stateless get their win??? I’m heading into book three to find out!

And I Arndt and Joe Arden are excellent narrators and definitely made this story an excellent listen!

Fantastic

This one was just as good as the first one. The way that the story progresses is really suspenseful and completely unputdownable. I usually enjoy the romance aspect of novels more but this one the story is so compelling that I found myself wondering what was going to happen next.

I still am left needing more

Traceless takes us back into Kina nad Callums world. Their story continues. This time Callum returns from the outer world to find Kina taking care of the kids. I loved Kina's motherly side. It brought a new aspect to her character that brought a special sweetness to her. There is much more intense suspense and drama in this installment. I could not put it down as Callum and Kina find a way to be together against all odds.Finding out more about Callum and Kina really helped this book grab my attention and not let go.

Joe Arden and Andi Arndt bring this story to life. Joe is the perfect Callum. His rough and rugged character is really brought out with Joe's narration. Andi really nailed the motherly side of Kina. Both Joe and Andi, once again, deliver a performance that enhanced this book's experience.

Still a very interesting series

What a thrilling continuation! The plot thickens–as well as other things, because Kina and Callum’s relationship deepens in this book.

It can be a bit confusing, because there are conspiracies inside the conspiracy… You never really know who’s with whom, and who you can trust. There’s also a lot of action and tension. You can’t be bored while reading this second installment.

As for the romance part of the story, if Kina and Callum are still restrained by years of training, their encounters with people outside of Stateless, but who know about the organization, help them cut their puppet strings one by one, until they start thinking by themselves. That means they no longer think their relationship is forbidden, though they still have troubles expressing themselves. It feels like doomed love, but I hope I’m wrong. At least it’s getting sexy.

Narration is still on point, though there are some sound problems in the male narrator’s parts. Sometimes, it doesn’t even sound like him.

Still a very interesting series, I’m diving right into the third book!

Twists and turns

I'm so happy that I had all three books ready to read at once. Full of action, intrigue and twists and turns, this is an exciting series. It must be read in order and the audiobook, narrated by Joe Arden and Andi Arndt is perfectly done. Kina and Callum are amazing characters- smart but also empathetic, even though they are part of a secret organization that was trying to remove that type of emotion from their soldiers. I loved the push and pull between the characters and their moral dilemmas as they try to figure out who is good and who is evil. Well written, excellently performed and I look forward to the conclusion.

My LANTA! My heart rate was through the roof!!

Woahhh! I thought it couldn't get more action, more sinister than it was in Stateless. I should have known better! What I really loved about Traceless is that we're starting to untangle the mess that Stateless made of my mind!! Plus the energy and anticipation level is building and it's nearing the climactic cessation...you can just FEEL the build! Prepare for a chaotic, racing heart because this book is a HUGE BUILD-UP!!! I sure hope you have the final book waiting... i know i do!!

These two narrators can do no wrong in my eyes! I love them together and consistently enjoy their portrayals of the various characters they play. This story is layered and drenched in doubt and misdirection. Joe Arden is Cullum now and I'm slightly obsessed. Andi Arndt is one of the best female narrators out there currently. Her voice always works for the woman she's presenting. She seems to channel them flawlessly. She became Kina... insecure and kind of meek but with this steely spine that comes out when it needs too... and it really needs to in Traceless.
