Publisher's Summary

On a rescue mission in the heart of the Indonesian jungle, Dr. Draden Freeman and his GhostWalker team need to extract the wounded as quickly as possible - or risk spreading a deadly virus unleashed by a terrorist cell. When Draden gets infected, he forces his team to leave him behind. He won’t risk exposing anyone else. He intends to find the ones responsible and go out in a blaze of glory....

Shylah Cosmos’ mission is to track the virus and remain unseen. Her enhanced senses tell her that the gorgeous man eradicating the terrorists one by one is a GhostWalker - and his lethal precision takes her breath away. When he’s hit by a lucky shot, she can’t stop herself from stepping in, not knowing that by saving his life she’s exposed herself to the virus.

There’s no telling how much time Draden and Shylah have left. Racing to find a cure, they quickly realize that they’ve found their perfect partner just in time to lose everything. But even as the virus threatens to consume their bodies, they’ve never felt more alive.

Okay but not the norm

I love this series. Christine Feehan is one of my fav authors. Jim Frangione could read the back of a cereal box and it would be awesome. But this story was not as good as the rest in the series. It kinda feels like a second thought compared to the more elaborate plots normally found in the series. The “bad guys” were not even that interesting. Disappointing but I’ll still buy the next book because Feehan and Frangione are just that good normally.

too much "action", not enough action.

I was really hoping for a better plot and more action, but most of the book seem to be sex scenes or domestic stuff. I know Christine Feehan's books can get steamy, but usually they have a better story line and more action.

Disappointed

This series started off being action PACKED, with a tasteful touch of romance. It was an escape from the real, to explore new and interesting possibilities. Like all of my favorite authors, Mrs. Feehan, has to put forty shades of gray. In the mean time I’m having to skip the a significant portion of the book in the hope off non sexual, significant plot that mains mmm

Too fantastical

This was just too fantastical. The narrator was wonderful. Storyline is a thumbs down. Not enough character development for me. But it may be someone elses great book.

Review

This book does not read like it was written by Christeen. I feel a good story started and was lost. This story reads like it was written by more then one person. I am a fan of Christeen. I look forward to all her books. This one left me disappointed.

Narrator is awful

Jim F has ruined my love for listening to the ghost walker books. I can't stand to hear him butcher this series. What happened to Tom Stechschulte???? Please bring him back or get someone else to read these. I've had to start reading these again instead of listening.

another great ghost Walker novel

Book was best because was not 98% sex scenes, just enough. More action and intrigue. Still alot of repetition.

Interesting idea, but please check medical facts!!

I enjoy the ghostwalker novels for their creative escapist fantasy storylines, amazing men and capable deadly females. However, as a viral immunologist, the errors in this book were so blatant and repeated so often that I had trouble enjoying the story and instead got sidetracked wondering whether the author tried to find a viral immunologist to read the book before publication or whether, if she did, the person had any knowledge. There are many different approaches to making a vaccine these days (the most simple being growing up a virus stock and killing it by heating it), but a vaccine cannot be made from the blood of someone who has recovered from a viral infection. It is very scary to realize how little people understand about vaccination and immunity.

Still missing Tom Stechshulte’s voice

Truly an awesome series by Christine. Tom brings more guts to the characters with his library of voices. You can tell who is saying what.

Toxic Game - bring it on.

Bio warfare, mercenaries, enhanced super soldiers, gene manipulation using animal DNA, telepathic powers and a host of other skills. What’s not to love. The hero’s each are magnificent soldiers, loners until they find their true partner who they care for with passion and possession. All of this is woven into a realistic adventure you will love. Feehan writing only gets better and better. Don’t miss this series.

Entertaining

Another wonderful foray into the thrilling world of the Ghostwalkers. Lots of suspense and humour and of course the romance. Very enjoyable.
