Publisher's Summary

Hale is a young journalist living in Long Beach, California. He lives a secluded life, relying on his laptop and a single extroverted friend to be his link to the outside world. Though there are many contributing factors, the primary reason for Hale’s withdrawal from society is his ability to read emotions and memories off objects and people.

Hale is pulled from his solitude by an intriguing woman named Cass with a strong analytical eye. Her ability to gather and interpret data compliments Hale's ability to gather random information.

After encountering a budding cult of Touched individuals like Hale, a murder mystery, and a shadowy organization with unclear motives, Hale and Cass realize their unique abilities can pick through the imbroglio of mysteries if they work together.

I said "oh snap" more then thrice.

I didn't know exactly to expect until the book was over. The twists and turns of this story were only surpassed by the author's ability to wrap you into the mysteries inside. No kidding, give this one a shot.

A fantasy fiction with very realistic base

Without ruining the story, I am very impressed with the authors narrative as it builds upon reality. I would recommend this for others as it was quite entertaining.

Boring! What the heck was happening?

I tried and tried, but it was vert confusing and could not hold my interest. Returned it for a treasured credit.

Fun Urban Fantasy Story

Sean does a fun job with the story. The story is pretty engaging and does a good job keeping you interested. I had some minor issues with the narration between chapters but overall a good listen.

Engaging Story, Enhanced by Expressive Performance

I decided to take a chance on this one, and man was it worth it! I listened to it on my way to work and had trouble turning it off if the characters were in the middle of a conversation. They all feel real, relatable, and interesting, and they convey an impressive amount of emotion. If you're on the fence about this one, I say give it a try!
