it was a long story, but nice

Could have been shorter. Story was dragged out a bit, but was still a nice story.

Action packed story!

Never mess with your best friend’s sister-in-law...that’s security specialist Nate Carter’s directive. Can he really resist the chemistry between himself and Gracelyn McDaniels? When Gracelyn’s life is in danger, Nate pulls out the stops to save her. Well written story with alpha males, bad guys and a strong woman.

Great Military Romance!

I loved this book with its' larger-than-life-characters, the steamy love scenes, and the dedication and team cohesiveness shown by the Team. The content was well developed by the author, and the narration was great.

Chapter 14: When Indeed!

In chapter 14, he has to leave their hide out to go get more fire wood. He doesn't want to leave her alone in the cabin but she's asking him to leave the alone for a few.

But just like the short walk with her sister to the coffee shop, where they were almost kidnapped. That time apart (unguarded) most likely will lead to trouble.

So to answer his question "When Did I Become Such A Pushover?"

When you started having sex and allowing that woman to use her sex as a distraction!!!

Wow wow WOW!

Action! Adventure! Romance! Suspense! Steamy bits too!

This is really an “Unputdownable” book! I chose it bc it was included in Audible Plus but I am definitely going to read more by this author! The narrator is also excellent!

Another book ruined by the narrator

Okay - it was an ok book that went on about an hour too long but it was totally ruined by Virginia Rose’s narration. Please director’s or producers of audio books - please use the right narrator for the subject. Ms. Rose’s narration would be perfect for a sweet YA or sweet romance with no heat - not a book with supposed ALPHA heroes. It’s like listening to a reading of the Cub Scout manual.

Not my thing

I like romantic suspense, but prefer the balance of the story be a bit more (engaging) suspense and a bit less romance. I quit this toward the end of chapter 3. The first chapter gives us the set up of what bad stuff is coming down the pike. Chapters 2 & 3 smack us in the face with the attraction of our couple for each other and the issues that stand in their way. There are no subtleties, no real character development. The reader is just told everything very directly instead of having the author lead you to it.

It was just very formulaic and unoriginal. I wasn’t the least bit interested in what happens next. Not worth the credit, to me.

If you like formulaic romance, this might work for you. On the upside, the narration was fine.
