Publisher's summary

Rulers of vampirekind Sam Parker and Jared Michaels are enjoying the current peace that's fallen among their species...until it abruptly shatters. A vampire unlawfully attempting to turn unwilling humans is somehow inadvertently killing them. It makes no sense, just like the strange brand on his palm and the fact that he boasts multiple vampiric gifts. He also has the same mercury glint to his irises that Sam herself possesses...indicating that she's no longer the only vampire hybrid in the world.

It quickly becomes clear that eliminating him won't be easy, especially since he's under the protection of an ancient being more powerful than Sam and Jared combined. They must win over the ancient and track the hybrid before more innocent humans die...which would be a lot easier if a distraction hadn't come in the form of a stranger appearing at The Hollow making an exceedingly bold claim.

A claim that he once had a precognitive vision of himself Bound to Sam.

Contains mature themes.

🌻This is such an entertaining series!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I really love Sam and Jared, the H and h, in this book. They both have such a dry sense of humor and their interactions are epic.

Be aware, this series is about vampires that are violent and sexually adventurous. As a result, the humor is often about sexual situations or violent acts. Some readers/listeners will likely not appreciate this type of humor. Is it tacky? Yes, sometimes it is but, it’s fantasy, so if such things are not your cup of tea, choose a different series and a different author. This is Suzanne Wright’s style, and you either love it, or hate it; I love it!

SW’s Hero’s are dirty talking, possessive Alpha males that have dominant personalities. Her Heroines are just as dominant but, sometimes allow their men to think they are in control, as the Heroines really run things in the background.

The mystery, in this book, kept me guessing, right up to the end; not predictable, at all!

There is a bit of relationship drama, but it’s not drawn out or full of Angst. This couple actually communicates!

I devoured this book, in a day; as I do all this author’s books. The only thing I would change is the word count. Longer is usually better, right!🤣

The Story is so full of twists and turns...WOW!

The Story is so full of twists and turns you're on the edge the whole time. After years of being together they are both so in love their still afraid of losing the other but still just as stubborn to keep each other and those they care for together. For better and worse the lethal team is awesome!

Love this series!

I have really enjoyed this series. It made me so happy to read from Jared and Sam’s point of view again, I missed them. They are so funny. I really hope the author writes more books of these characters.

Brilliant

Have adored this series since it’s book release and the Audible narrators are perfect bringing it to life. Loved this last hurrah but would welcome more of Sam & Jared anytime, anyplace.

Likeable Story Meets Unlikeable Narration

I have been a fan of this series for quite some. My favorite series by this author. Sam is crazy as ever and Jarrod continues to cosign the crazy. I like the two different sub stories. Was totally shocked by one of them, but in a good way. The only negative is the male narrator. He sounds like an Infomercial sales person. I kept waiting for him to announce a six pack of durable knives for $39.99 ”but wait you get two if ordered by 12 midnight”. He was a terrible choice. If I didn’t already have a love affair with this series, I would have returned this book.

Getting Stale

I used to love this series, but its getting stale. It was getting better when all the new books were about different characters, but this one feels unnecessary and a different version of prior books. For the main relationship drama, some new characters are thrown into the mix and now Jared is jealous AF. I'm pretty sure I already read that book. Twice. (Max and Cristiano)

Also, its a bit frustrating when there are so many breaks in the story to re-explain events or world building already accomplished in other books. There was one that went on for 9 minutes straight. I've read every other book in the series, I mean I already know who and what Dexter is. I don't need a refresh every 5 minutes on what's already happened, and if I don't remember I can re-read the other title.
