Omgosh

I loved this book so much ! it's one of the best I've ever listened to.. I just love Jax and Connor. They suited so well and she was my kind of women. I love the fact she wasn't a whining drama filled diva. She was just Jax tough and beautiful, I love Connor they made an awesome couple.

I just wish the story hadn't ended I didn't want to turn it off at all . Great job writing this one ,I know I'll be listening to it a few times..

And the narrator did an awesome job for sure . Now I'm going to check and see if I can find another great book by this author. I hope this one didn't set the bar so high that I have trouble finding another . Totally worth credit or the money.

Loved it.

I loved the characters and storyline. I love Suzanne Wright's books! I've listened to The Phoenix Pack series, The Mercury Pack series and the Dark In You series and started the deep in your veins series. This was a nice change from the supernatural world, but still has the same chemistry in her main characters as in the other books. I highly recommend this book. It did not disappoint!

Love the story the H drive me a little insane but overall the story was entertaining.

The best book ever

I love this book. I love rags to riches story. I have so many children who had suffered in foster care and came out on top. Working in DSS you see a lot. Love how Jax rose above it an how Connor became the man Jax knew he could be. The other characters were great. This my go book for a lift me up. Lots of sex. I have skip some of it because it’s a lot but I understand why. I want more like this,

Good Story, Kept Me Entertained

Loved the FMC, kinda disliked/was annoyed with MMC. FMC was strong willed, dry humored, antisocial, kinda unhappy but funny. I liked her, I saw other reviews saying they thought she was a bitch, but that was the point! That was like her whole thing. She’s a bitch but she’s so damn good looking and confident in herself that people are drawn to her automatically and for pretty good reason. She’s honest, loyal, open minded, and straightforward. You know what you are getting with her and exactly how she feels in any given moment. That is a comforting person to be around as long as you’re not a d**k. The MMC is good humored, possessive AF, jealous AF, protective, but also flighty, emotionally stunted, in denial, had a pretty 24yo(he was 24 lol) reason for never wanting to be in a relationship but was still annoying lol The premise is good - FMC and MMC lived in the same foster house for a couple years, he left when he aged out telling her he’d return and didn’t. Big fallout happens because of this, although it not fully explained until the end. FMC goes thru some ish but gets a big break and becomes rich and famous. The two reconnect and start sleeping with eachother non-committed, she is worried she will continue to have unrequited love, he seems pretty intent on ignoring all of his feelings and focusing on his lust for her, which was pretty annoying, he’s probably one of my top most annoying and disklikable MMC. Man is a rake to the very end. I typically like SWs MMCs, but Connor is not one of them. The FMC doesn’t take his Bs which is satisfying but it took him too long to want a relationship and his reasoning wasn’t dramatic enough IMO.

Plot was good! She’s got a couple stalkers, he’s got a Crazy ex, she’s got a friend zoned guy, he’s got women throwing themselves at him in public, she’s got a pretty great bestie (she’s also a great bestie herself), and he’s got a couple close friends that have his best interest in mind and support him. The two MCs bicker a lot, I did try to remind myself they are both super young so their emotional behavior isn’t surprising or unexpected given their backgrounds, but still. They’re both crazy hot apparently and completely irresistible to the opposite sex. She’s moody, he’s persistent. It’s a whole thing. Very entertaining. I wouldn’t really call it a love story, the end was abrupt and he wasn’t really committed to her until like the last few chapters.. there’s no cheating and there is a technical HEA.

Narration was great.

When this story was good, it was really good, but there were parts that weren’t that good. Still I would listen to it again.
