Publisher's summary

When they push too far, all you can do is unleash hell.

Elite assassin Reed Montgomery's private feud with a former employer has spun completely out of control, and it's cost him almost everything. After the woman he loves vanishes, one of his oldest friends is brutally murdered, and the criminal underworld is unleashed against him, Reed is left with only one option—embrace the carnage.

He'll begin with the mercenaries responsible for his friend's murder, and then he'll follow the chain right to the top . . .

No matter where it leads. No matter what it costs.

This is war.

Continuing from before, but now Banks is a brat

In some ways I don’t know why this is a separate book- it’s just the next chapter. A couple more puzzle pieces.
But now I can’t stand Banks. She can’t possibly be worth all the brattiness, rolling eyes, “shitheads”, as snarky comments, tantrums, and outbursts. She’s a child. And repeatedly listening to him try to to placate her with self- recrimination and admissions on what a horrible, despicable person he is and falling all over himself is intolerable. I’m an hour and a half from the end and I might not even finish bc I can’t take anymore

Total War

The pace is dizzying. Just when you think you have things figured out, I promise you don’t really.
