Very well written

I always leave a star rating but rarely write a review because I’m lazy. That said I felt compelled to write a review to tell everyone how much I loved this series. It’s my first read from this author so I was a little leery, I’ve had a run of bad indie books lately so anything not written but a huge name, like Stephen King, made me a little antsy.

I am so glad I took on chance on this. Intriguing plot, well developed characters, no plot holes, and not predictable. Plus I loved the dog. Yay dogs!
The second book did NOT suffer from second book slump like so many trilogies i have read. I highly recommend this series to horror or urban legend fans.

this was a good book, good plot, like all the characters especially Buck. He was awesome. the narrator did a good job.

wonderful book to listen to.

Some said this book should have been under a tween section. I am definitely not a tween (53) and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't scary to me but the plot and story telling was what kept me listening.

great read/listen

I wasn't sure about this series but the first 3 books have been great and I'm going to finish the series. There were 2 audio hiccups that I heard but nothing major one was a cough. I thought the writing was well put together and the narration was well paced.

The story of the families moves smoothly so I didn't have a chance to get bored. There are some details that are left unsaid until later in the books which helps to add a little suspense to the back story of the characters.

The story of tradition and the ties that bind and break the families, speaks to the nature of being human and the limits of loyalty. How far would you go to save the ones you love?

Awesome book

This was an amazing book series. I loved how the words made everything come to life. The Narrater was Amazing also. He made the characters real! Wish there was more books to this.
