Hero worship

Cudos to Liz Kelly for her endearing characters, sizzling scenes and romantic heart. I read this when it was first released and loved it, actually it made me crave pie throughout the whole book, but the excellent narration enhances the story even more. I wish I could move to her "Henderson". Can't wait for more!

Small town romance!

Crain Caraway is by far the sexiest long, tall drink of water your mother warned you about, but nobody told Tansy Langford. When she and Crain elope in haste in Vegas what happens in Vegas starts a rollicking good adventure that will have you howling and crying all at the same time. If you love romantic comedy you must read Top Dog ASAP. I especially enjoyed the narration performance of Charles Lawrence.

Another great one

Well what fun would it be to live one Henderson . This group leaves you in stitches with all its antics ! Crain an Tansy got married then all goes side ways join the fun of trying to get it turned right with two headstrong moms in the mix . Get more Vance Brooks and Pinks as they are all along for the ride !

A Great Addition to the Henderson Heroes Series

What made the experience of listening to Top Dog the most enjoyable?

Charles Lawrence's southern accent added so much "flavor" to the listening. It gave the story such a "sit on the porch with a glass of tea" feel to it. As always hearing the book read out loud makes the story come alive and gives it more character.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Crain Caraway. He was such a Southern Gentleman and while he was an alpha male he wasn't overbearing with this. It also tugged on my heartstrings because of his lifelong issue with dyslexia and ADD. He never gave up when it came to his wife and did everything he could to make the situation work out.

Have you listened to any of Charles Lawrence’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He is excellent in this entire series. This is only narrations I've heard him do so far.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending of course where Crain did what he should have done in the first place.

Romantic Comedy

Another funny romance with a couple of twists to make it entertaining. I like the way the author brings in strong secondary characters to add funny situations to the story. Charles Lawrence always adds to the story as well with his excellent narration.

Love this series!

I just can't get enough of Henderson!!! I loved Crain And Tansy's story! I wasn't a huge fan of Tansy at first but this book changed my mind! Crain was seriously delicious! I love that even though this was focused on Crain and Tansy, that you get glimpses into the rest of the clan too!! That makes me super happy! I'm off to listen to the next book!!!

Awesome story! I've been a fan of Liz Kelly for a long time now since I discover Good cap and I just could not stop reading. I just had to keep reading the series. There is always romance a lot of laughing and I just love reading about Vance and Pinks but now listening to the stories and how well Charles narrates the them and how he makes different voices for the different characters is awesome! I love it!

Love this Narrator

I love the Heros of Henderson series and now that I’ve listened to 4 books narrated by Charles Lawrence, I can’t imagine just reading the next one. I want Charles to just keep telling me the stories about the Heroes and their girls. Liz Kelly makes me laugh and look forward to her next book!

another great book

I have loved this series since the very first book. It is a series full of great characters that keep you engaged in their stories. I look forward to each and every new book that comes out. It is a series I highly recommend.
