Already ready for book 2

Great read. A little unexpected spice but it helped drive some of the storyline. Plot twist, wasn’t expecting this to be a book series!! The last chapter left me sitting on the edge of my seat, angry that book 2 wasn’t already out.

Yes!

Oh my word!!!!! Yes ! This was super fast paced and I loved every minute of it! This is a real badbutt FMC!! I love when they let the reader understand a weakness but not be so repetitive it gets boring! It was a tad sad on some parts! But to me this was one of the best binge worthy books I’ve listened to in a long time!. I’m extremely picky about my books these days!! If you like shatter me, or hunger games this will probably suck you in quick!!.
Please hurry with book 2! I do hate that it ends the way it does!!

Prison Break Hunger Games!

Dystopian stories making a comeback?! This book gave me Hunger Game vibes. It's labeled as romantasy but it lacks fantasy elements.... That being said, I didn't mind there not being any fantasy/magic.

The FMC gives stereotypical, older sister forced to grow up in order to protect their sibling. I enjoyed Raven and her character development.

The MMC is still a bit of a mystery. I look forward to learning more about Vale. We learn about his motivations and background but I think there is still much lore to be revealed.

As it often is for me, I loved the side characters. Kit and Yara give hope that even in the most dire and hopeless of situations, love can provide a reason to persevere. August and Momo I LOVED as well as Jed. I am very curious about Dr. Row... I love that she doesn't reduce the prisoners to numbers and I want to see what else is in store for her character.

I am itching to get my hands on the next installment!!

I went into this book with no expectations and completely blind and it did not disappoint! I was on the edge of my seat and interested throughout the entire book! Can’t wait for number 2!

Great start to a series.

The dystopian world was very interesting. I loved the mmc and fmc's first meeting and how it ended. The tech in the prison really added to the futuristic dystopian vibe very well. The slow burn was also perfect in my opinion.
I enjoyed the dark elements like the fact that the public had been sold on the idea that they were bettering the world by taking out criminals. Even though they all knew the smallest infraction sent people there. The brainwashing feels very relevant to today's ludicrous politics. I feel like most women who write Romantasy, do not write that well. But she nailed it.
