Strong resemblance to Dirty Dancing. The great thing is, I love the story line. Also, love the ending.

Totally enjoyable

Laura Heffernan is a terrific storyteller. She had me with Frank—handsome doctor learning pole dancing on a cruise ship to assist pole dancing instructor’s big finale. Yes, sounds rather far fetched, I know. But go with it! It’s an entertaining story. This is both sensual and poignant.
The narrator, Annelise Marie Belmonte, has good pacing and a clear voice. One of her secondary characters sounded whiny but not enough to ruin the overall enjoyment. Well done!

Trust in love

Can two people from two differents worlds trust and help each other and the fall in love? Janey is a pole dancer and her past life is been a very difficult one. Frank is a doctor from a wealthy family. But they must work together in a dance for the final show in the Afrodita Oceanic. Will they be able to do so? A sweet love story

great read.

This is a great read.
it's very similar to the movie Dirty dancing with little difference.
I love that they are on a cruise ship. This story will get you smiling and laughing all at the same time.
I would definitely recommend listening to this.

i love this. it would be nice to at some readers to read the dialogues

Super fun, especially as a vacation read!

I liked the mash-up of Dirty Dancing, pole dancing, and cruise ships. In this story, the dance instructor is a woman and the novice on vacation is a man. This gave me a different perspective on the story; I hadn't thought of the class issues involved in the relationship before. And although the story is like Dirty Dancing in a lot of ways, a lot of different and unexpected things happen. The guy (doctor/dancer) sounded like a total hunk. The narrator has a "normal person" voice instead of a fancy voice, which suited the main character, and I could also tell the difference between people speaking based on their voices and accents (which is important in an audio book). This would be a great romance to read on a cruise ship! (I got a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.)

I love men in romance that have depth and I loved the main character. Highly recommend.

Dirty Dancing meets the seas

A fun read that follows the Dirty Dancing story line with a few alterations...pole dancing, poor girl meets rich boy with a HEA. Good narration there were a couple of chuckles but it follows so closely to the Dirty dancing story line that there was not a lot of surprises. I liked the back ground that Heffernan gave Janey - it added more depth to her character and explained her over exaggerated views on class and I loved that Frank just comes across as a good ol boy wanting to make everyone happy. I think my favorite was the references to the movie itself that pushed this read from an okay to a really liked listen! Overall a fun, sweet read that's a twist on an epic movie!
