Publisher's summary

Professional tennis star and everybody's darling, Maren Murphy is going home. Unfortunately, going home is the last thing she wants to do. She doesn't know what's worse, being named the executor of her grandfather's estate, or having to deal with her grandfather's business partner, Noah Callahan. That devil's spawn may have broken her young, tender heart, but this time it's advantage Murphy. If anyone's calling game, set, and match, it'll be Maren.

Re-match on.

Noah Callahan is a screw up. Well...he used to be a screw up. Bad-boy reputations, however, are not easily shed. He's been a successful business owner for over a decade. You would think the people in his hometown would've forgiven and forgotten already, but alas, no. Until his one shot at redemption walks back into his life. Maren Murphy is the only woman he ever loved - and the only one he purposely drove away.

She's vowed to hate him for all eternity. He's vowed to love her forever. Can a second chance be the tiebreaker?

Contains mature themes.

Great book

This book was so good. The problem is it left me wanting more. Maybe a few years later but what great book. The narration was awesome. Sure wish there was another book coming after this one maybe with her sister. I highly recommend this book.

Cute but lacking...

This one was way too angsty for me. I loved the first book in the series and still want to read the book about BeBe. I suspect that one will be funny. Hoping at least.

Missing something!

I loved the first book. Was hoping this one would match it. After he told her what happened and why he did what he did and she just forgive him so easy, just made me cringe like I was dumbfounded. All that build up and bam just for them to literally not work anything out but sleep together? That part made me not want to continue. I want Bebe’s book tbh the parts she was in made me laugh, hopefully we get it. But this book needed the female lead to be stronger and more confident because from start to finish, she was still that insecure 10 year old girl who was following him around. He was a jerk from start to finish, nice and then cold every time but when they are alone he wanted to claim her. If toxic was a person it was Noah, he kept saying he changed but tbh he didn’t at all. Disappointing!

Drama

The back and forth of the past and presence was a bit much it was hard to know what was what.

TIE BREAKER

Wow! This story is so fantastic. I loved the relationship between Noah and Maren for you could see these two truly felt for each other, and everything that they’ve been through. Granted, at first it was really heartbreaking but as the story went on, you could see the truth love these two had for each other, but had so many obstacles to get over before they could truly be together. I laughed, I cried, but I have to keep reading to see how this turned out. Trust me don’t give up on the story. The two books in the series are really fantastic a lot of Lovin and very sexy, so please read it. You won’t be sorry! P Dangelico you are a fantastic author, and I truly enjoy reading your writings and complement you on your selection of narrators for these two books they are fantastic together. Hope you do more with them!

Will have you in a chokehold

OMG! How freaking adorable. This story totally made me feel every single word and hang onto them for dear life. The FMC had moments where I was fighting with her, then moments where I wanted to smack her upside her head. I love me some Noah, he is officially what book boyfriends are made of. The plot twists that comes with the story will have you hanging on to every word that P. Dangelico wrote. Great story!!!

Narration great + story has depth - 99%

I’ve been hanging out for p dangelico to make it onto audible, and I have to say these two narrators did a swell job. The southern twang matched Noah’s character + the female narrator did justice to the heroine. She sounded so intelligent and sarcastic - I love p dangelicos lead females for their awesome sarcasm. The story is a goodie with layers and depth and the two have so much history it’s interesting to hear it unfold in flashbacks. So cute and reminds me a little of sweet home Alabama film, the two lovers met each other - as soul mates - at such a young age. Supporting characters were interesting too - loved her sister. Wish she had her own book too! She is hilarious. Glad I used a credit on this, I could definitely listen to it again.

Good until the end

This was a decent book but the ending was really disappointing. The “revelation” i believe is meant to make us understand why everything happened but it’s ridiculous. The idea that he thought that was the solution rather than just communicating is absurd.
