Please oh please get on with it.

Winters’ dark romances are so complex and engrossing. HOWEVER this book (and really the entire series) feels desperate. Her indebted series is my favorite of all time - it was so detailed with many twists and turns, and each book was as crucial as the next. This series seems like a single or duet story overstretched to fill a book quota. It’s so terribly redundant that I’m actually having trouble getting through it. The angst isn’t the good kind - it’s the for gods sake get on with it kind. So sadly disappointing :(

Each book in this series is better than the last

Pepper Winters continues to captivate me with Hundreds, the third book in her Dollar series. It continues where book two left off, so it must be read in order. It is filled with twists and turns that kept me burning through the pages to find out what happened next.

Pepper has an amazing ability to create strong characters who burrow their way deep into your heart and never let go. Just when you think they can't endure any more, she decides it's time to create a plot twist like no other author is capable of and put them to the test even further.

I would highly recommend this entire series. Be warned it is completely addictive and you will likely want to binge read the entire series as soon as possible.

PS The narrators of this story only bring it further to life. Kylie C. Stewart and Eric Rolon completely entranced me, making me never want to stop listening. I am becoming a huge fan of their work. I would gladly listen to both of them read almost any story at this point.

another tear-jerker

These ae the only romance novels I've listened to that make me cry during the love scenes. I say love scenes not sex scenes intentionally, although the sex IS very explicit. There's a LOT of ragged emotion bound up in this 5-book story about one woman's rescue and recovery from sexual slavery, and her savior's dark journey into love with her. The moment I finish writing this review I'm starting book 4. I bought a 3-credit bundle so I could purchase 3-5, that's how good I think this story is.

Narrators did a great job with pacing and accents and imbuing their characters with emotion. This true dual narration is so cool, I wish more romance narration was like this. Usually the female and male narrators just trade off chapters from the different characters' perspectives.

Awesome read

I had done the audio with this book and the narrators once again did a wonderful job. If you have not read any of the previous book week you will want to do so before reading this book.

WOW.. I have to say I have loved every book in the series so far but this book has taken me on one emotional rollercoaster. I have cried for Pim, I have cried for Elder, I cried for Pim’s mother, and I cried for what was and what had been.

Pim has blossom so much in this series and in this book we get to see Pim really come out of her shell. If yo thought she was strong before well get to see how everything she had been through has made her even stronger. I love the fact that now that she has found her voice that she will not be silenced. Well I guess toward the end she was silenced but you will have to read the book to find out.

Elder is one amazing guy and he is still waring with himself. I know it has to be tiresome to time to fight with his inward demons, to carry so much guilt and shame on his shoulders, and battling to do the right thing. In this story we get to see how he does not know how much he misses and needs something until it is not there. We get to see how Elder and Pim need each other as much as they need the air to breathe.

This story has a few surprises in it and you better have a box of tissue on hand as well. Really looking forward to book 5.

Another excellent addition to the series, wow

What did you love best about Thousands?

I loved that this book had so many beautiful moments, it continued to build on these characters and simultaneously peel away at their layers to see what lies beneath.

What did you like best about this story?

The emotional connection that I have built with these characters continued to deepen, keeping me at the edge of my seat at times, yelling at no one when frustrated, and smiling at sweet moments.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't want to give spoilers, so I won't give anything away, but the last beautiful part before things went south was so heartfelt. It was as if these two complicated, half-broken and half-healed people finally found a compromise and common ground.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Honestly, I'm half way through the next book already and my mind is focused on that at this point. I've read so many of these books that they are starting to meld together!

Any additional comments?

Not really.

bloody hell!!! incredible!!

Pepper Winters is a phenomenal story teller. Able to weave intricate plots with violence, pain, death and love of such an intensity it almost comes off the page to reach out for you! This is the penultimate instalment and the plot has only thickened and become stronger, more intriguing. She has brought characters from other novels and woven them in seamlessly. Can't wait for more. Pepper is quite possibly the darkest author I have ever read but she is in a league of her own. Words cannot praise her writing enough. Beyond highly recommending.

4 stars!

A lot more happened in this book. Although there's still too many feelings and repetition for my liking but it's a good story that slowly builds to an exciting cliff hanger.
