Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too.

Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite. She's always had clear steps outlining her path to success with no time or inclination for romance. Her burgeoning career in politics means everything to her, and she's not willing to compromise it for something as insignificant as love. Fleeting, casual, and discreet worked perfectly fine.

When they meet through a dating app, it's immediately clear that they aren't suited for anything more than friendship. Right?

Contains mature themes.

Had to listen a second time in preparation for Forever and a Day. This is easily my favorite audiobook. I am BEGGING for someone to turn this into a movie. Please!!!

The story has everything you want in a les-fic romance - hot characters (perfect narration as always by Lori Prince), comedic relief, drama, hot and steamy sex scenes, and oh so much love.

Love love love this audiobook!!!

My Favorite - Ever!

tldr; hella good, spicy and funny.. 100/10 would and have listened again and again

This damn book and these two characters have set my standard for all other sapphic novels over the past few years. This was the first wlw novel that i read (listened to?) and im not exaggerating when i say it reignited my love of reading (listening?) and an audible library of nearly 200 books lol.

the storyline is modern and young without being juvenile. the characters are relatable, funny, sexy and inspire embarrassing crushes on fictional people. I am still waiting for a movie or series to bring these two to life so that i may forever submerge myself in their story.

if i have any advice for new listeners it would be to skip over Forever and a Day and jump directly into Midnight Rain which to me felt like a more natural and authentic continuation of their story.

Will always be my #1

There are some aspects of this novel that I appreciate, such as the concept that someone important would be at work a whole lot. Many romance novels have CEOs or whatever other important person basically never at work and always ready to seduce/run into the other romantic lead. I also enjoy some of the parental figures and how realistically supportive they are. The reason I kept stopping my audio-reading experience was that some of the friends of the lead characters are extremely invasive and just generally horrible. It is hard to listen to such abrasive behavior, and I wish those characters could just not be in the novel. I think they're meant to be funny? I don't get the joke, I guess. All-in-all, solidly okay.

good in general, extremely abrasive side characters

I absolutely love this book. The story and characters have affected me like no other ever have. Charlotte and Sutton could be me and a certain someone in an alternate universe. I didn't get my happy ending but I definitely recommend listening to this to find out if they do. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could

My favorite book ever.

Some of the characters had really nasally, loud and annoying voices. Very distracting from the story.

Good but didn’t like most of the voices
