WEAK

Your first 2 books were great, but the last 2 featured people
making bad choices while holding on to a dead world. Zombies represent a constant threat that CHANGES YOUR CHARACTERS. If people stay the same, then there is no reason to have an apocalypse.

Back to Basic Zombies 101

Back to good old normal zombie mode. Nothing supernatural. No complicated back stories. Just survival from the dead world.

All I can say is

DAMN!

BUT WAIT There's MORE TO SAY. Amazing writing in this particular genre. and like Black Summer do not get attached to anyone. I cant wait to listen/ dive into the fourth installment. Bravo. Very impactful and you "feel" the drama, raw emotions and shock of events as they unfold. Great fast build of new characters and love the unpredictable moments. ESPECIALLY regarding Chad and his brother. RIP to to those from the earlier books, but wow they went out accordingly. The realism felt authentic and no WD cliff hanger of being surrounded and falling to the undead only to find out they hid underneath a garbage bin. I am officially a fan.

No more hero’s

Brilliant! I’m loving this series. What I really like about this author is he isn’t afraid to kill off characters. I’ve read lots and lots of zombie books and very few of them kill off well liked characters. This was the reason I stopped watching TWD for a while - I mean Rick should have died at least three times yet he managed to survive and Glen was saved by a garbage container till he got his noggin smashed in by Negan…sorry I digress. People die in a zed apocalypse and Mr Morris does this he kills folk off and brings in new ones. We also have a couple of real nutters in this book which just adds to the enjoyment!

This series is right up there with the Mountain Man series but I do have to say I’ve a wee soft spot for Gus who I hope doesn’t get killed off!

Excellent book and narration ….on to the next one!

An Exciting Continuation Of A Classic Zombie Saga

What a ride! Non-stop action all the way through this 3rd instalment of This Rotten World. The author Jacy Morris certainly knows his way around undead apocalyptic horror and the narrator is an expert at bringing the characters to life. I was gripped all the way through the book and am jumping straight into book 4 thanks to the dramatic cliffhanger ending of book 3. If only Hollywood would bring these books to the big screen.... fingers crossed!

Love it.

What can I say about Jacy Morris as a writer that I haven't already said? This is another fantastic novel in the series. If you're a fan of thoughtful, character-driven horror fiction *and* zombie apocalyptic scenarios, you owe it to yourself to join the journey and travel with these protagonists. And T.L. Howell's narration fits this body of works to a tee.
