Acerca de esta escucha
*NATIONAL BESTSELLER*
A cancer diagnosis caused Tyler Merritt—beloved author of I Take My Coffee Black—to realize that there was no time for anger, unforgiveness, foolishness, or lost friendships. None of us have any time to waste.
When Tyler Merritt was diagnosed with cancer, everything he thought he knew about what mattered in life changed. Though he made it through a highly invasive surgery and thought he was in the clear, Tyler soon realized that the cancer had other plans. It wasn’t a question of if the tumor would come back for an encore, his doctors told him. It was a question of when. The clock was ticking.
This Changes Everything is a humorous and optimistic love letter to this beautiful life. As Tyler counts down the days until his next scan, he begins to understand that none of us have time for anger, for being unforgiving, for foolishness, for letting relationships drift, or for letting friendships to be lost. It’s a clear-eyed reckoning with the reality that our time on this earth is limited and a hopeful vision of how each of us can make the most of the time we have left.
Laced with Tyler’s trademark humor, love of pop culture, and arguably too many musical theater references, This Changes Everything is a story about how wrestling with the idea of death can birth a whole new outlook on life, how we live it, and the urgency that comes when you grasp that time is a precious commodity.

When your faith as you know it has been commodified, nationalized, scandalized, and rebranded beyond recognition, is it even possible to recover the "good" of Jesus from this cluster of epic proportions? Writer and podcaster Erin Moon has questions, and this book is her open letter for anyone who feels iffy, conflicted, or just downright devastated by this disconnect. With empathy, insight, and the therapy of memes and a good laugh, Erin maps out not a rigid prescription but an open-hearted pathway for you to reclaim what you once loved about your faith home and light a match to the rest.

Americans tend to cast slavery as a pre-modern institution - the nation's original sin, perhaps, but isolated in time and divorced from America's later success. But to do so robs the millions who suffered in bondage of their full legacy. As historian Edward E. Baptist reveals in The Half Has Never Been Told, the expansion of slavery in the first eight decades after American independence drove the evolution and modernization of the United States.

The table is a central metaphor of throughout Scripture and it's where the real substance of life—from the mundane to the magnificent—is dreamed up, planned out, prayed over, accomplished, and celebrated. Yet most people aren't intentional about taking a seat at the table of their own lives—let alone prioritizing the important things that happen around the tables in their homes, at work, and beyond.

The table has always been the spiritual, emotional, and relational center of a well-lived.

In This Changes Everything Naomi Klein argues that climate change isn’t just another issue to be neatly filed between taxes and health care. It’s an alarm that calls us to fix an economic system that is already failing us in many ways. Klein meticulously builds the case for how massively reducing our greenhouse emissions is our best chance to simultaneously reduce gaping inequalities, re-imagine our broken democracies, and rebuild our gutted local economies.

Ziwe made a name for herself by asking guests like Alyssa Milano, Fran Lebowitz, and Chet Hanks direct questions. In Black Friend, she turns her incisive perspective on both herself and the culture at large. Throughout the book, Ziwe combines pop-culture commentary and personal stories that grapple with her own (mis)understanding of identity. From a hilarious case of mistaken identity via a jumbotron to a terrifying fight-or-flight encounter in the woods, Ziwe raises difficult questions for comedic relief.

A must listen!
Listening to a Tyler Merritt book is like sitting down to have a meaningful conversation with a good friend. You will laugh. You will cry. You will learn about things in history you never knew but you should know! You will feel seen. You will feel heard. You will feel like you are not alone. And if you happen to be part of a group you never asked to join (those like me who have heard the words 'you have cancer'), you will feel understood. Thank you Tyler for loving us all so well.

OMG! His story makes me love him more!
Tyler Merritt tells his story with tears and hope and laughter and inspiration. I loved the settle comedy, the unapologetic black history and references to 90’s music, tv and movies . After all he has been through, he is still living, loved, respected. I want to be his friend (hit me up Tyler 🥰🤣). I will follow whatever he does next.

Tyler Merritt is truly amazing! I love his little chuckle at the ends of funny lines.
I kept waiting for a whole chapter about meeting Jen Hatmaker. Come on, Tyler!! I knew you met her in NYC, so in the chapter about that trip, I was waiting patiently for the big reveal of that magical meeting. Lordy! It is a good thing I have pre-order her upcoming book, Awake. I bet she will give us the details! Hehe

Tyler’s Voice!!!
This is definitely a book to LISTEN to. OVER AND OVER, if not for listening to your friend’s voice, but because it’s THAT GOOD! And you should also BUY the book book to follow along because it has more good stuff in the footnotes. MY DUDE!
