Love the series

Another great book by Denise Grocer Swank. At this point, I could probably just spark notes the whole series, but I’m hooked! It seems like this whole story takes place over 2-3 days.

Wonderful Series

Denise this is such a wonderful series and I can never get enough of listening to these books. Rose is Rose and she somehow crawls into your soul and never leaves. I love her and NK never ending shenanigans. Joe, Mason and Skeeter Malcolm they all great people who come to life in each of your stories.

Great cast of characters

I am having so much fun with this reread of the series! This one felt a bit sillier in places than the other books—looking at you Neely Kate!—but I still really enjoyed it. There was a ton of secrecy that happened but the ending was done really well. Skeeter Malcolm is quite the character! I feel like Rose keeping her Lady in Black identity a secret from Mason is only going to cause a rift. What’s so great about rereading this series nearly 10 years later is I have forgotten some of the plot points. 🤣 Looking forward to the novella next!

I’m lovin this series. Makes me laugh at times, worry at times, be confused trying to figure out who the bad guys REALLY ARE! Can’t wait to read the rest!!

More Rose, more fun, more shenanigans and more visions

I just love Rose and her quirkiness, her stumbling accidentally into crimes, her naiveté, and her good heartedness. Rose is a 24 year old woman living in a nosy closed minded small town. She experiences visions that she’s compelled to share with the person she has them of. In this story, Rose of course, finds herself suddenly in the middle of intrigue and danger when she helps Neely Kate look for her missing cousin Dolly Parton and also reprises her role of the lady in black. The usual ridiculousness follows Rose and Neely Kate while they investigate. Mason, Neely Kate, Joe, and Skeeter are once again major secondary characters in this story. The book was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline with sweet moments, exciting action, danger, family drama, painful pasts, mystery, plot twists, imperfect characters, missteps, and all the big feels. I am looking forward to reading what happens next in Rose’s life.

Shannon McManus did a great job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

Love this series!! Read in order!

Love. Love and Love. I don’t know if another series I love more! The Rose Gardner series has been so much fun to read. I just wish there were more!!
