Acerca de esta escucha
What do Tyra Banks, Ev Williams, and Richard Branson have in common? If you answered that they’re all extremely wealthy, you’d be right. But you’d also be missing a big part of the story.
James Altucher, the noted entrepreneur, venture capitalist, bestselling author of Choose Yourself, and host of the podcast The James Altucher Show—which has over 40 million downloads—has interviewed 15 of the most successful people in the world to figure out just what makes them tick. And the conclusions might surprise you.
For each of these people, money wasn't their ultimate goal—it was a natural byproduct of following their passions and developing good habits that enabled them to take advantage of their successes and to learn from their failures.
From the founder of Spanx to the entrepreneur behind Home Depot, from a craft beer aficionado to the investors on Shark Tank, these visionaries honed their ideas and creativity, and used what they loved as a compass to guide their curiosity. That curiosity gave them the insights they needed to skip the line, to try new things, to diversify, and to hit the accelerator on their successes.
This isn’t some lofty self-help book. This is about real people who achieved their dreams and gained wealth and influence as a result. As Altucher notes, ultimately it’s not the number in the bank account that defines anyone—it’s asking if you’re living life to the best of your ability.

Historia
Dan Sullivan, the world's leading coach for highly successful entrepreneurs, wants you to know that achieving 10X growth is exponentially easier than striving for 2X growth. Most find this idea confusing at first because simply imagining 10X growth causes them to think they need to do 10X more work to achieve it. However, being a 10X entrepreneur is nothing like what most people think.

We live in a hierarchical world where experience has traditionally been the key to promotion. But that period is over! Straight, clear-cut career trajectories no longer exist. Industries disappear, job descriptions change, and people's interests and passions evolve. The key to riding this wave, entrepreneur James Altucher advises, is to constantly be curious about what's next, to be comfortable with uncertainty so you can keep navigating the rough waters ahead, and most importantly, to pursue the things that interest you.

That these are the same person sounds like the setup to a joke, but this is no joke. This is Arnold Schwarzenegger. And this did not happen by accident. Arnold’s stratospheric success happened as part of a process. As the result of clear vision, big thinking, hard work, direct communication, resilient problem-solving, open-minded curiosity, and a commitment to giving back. Historia
Felix Dennis is an expert at proving people wrong. Starting as a college dropout with no family money, he created a publishing empire, founded Maxim magazine, made himself one of the richest people in the UK, and had a blast in the process. How to Get Rich is different from any other book on the subject because Dennis isn't selling snake oil, investment tips, or motivational claptrap. He merely wants to help people embrace entrepreneurship, and to share lessons he learned the hard way.

Listen to this book
This is a great book. I’m just queuing it up for my second listen. I am also going to buy it on Audible so I can take notes and put those in my file

Ya just gotta love James Altucher!
I appreciated the insights shared by those interviewed and Altucher’s childlike curiosity. If you want to think like a BILLIONAIRE, this audio book is for you!

hear it from the mouths of the billionaires
i like the honesty, like when Marc Cuban says his first passion was to get rich, and then did everything they could to make that happen. i didn't like when billionaires pretended that if you do what you love then you'll be successful. it's a complicated formula.

Tons of value from different perspectives
James, another fantastic job. I highly recommend this for everyone, even if you aren’t concerned with becoming a billionaire. It gives great perspective on life and many of the different driving forces through a range of different perspectives from the most elite names in business. Get it. You’ll be happy you did.

I was hooked
What a breath of fresh air! James Altucher is such an engaging person to listen to, and his interview guests were fascinating. I feel wiser and stronger and am more determined than ever to start my own companies (plural). Regardless, this was a really fun read, very impressive.
