Pure honesty

This book is really about being healthy in all realms and being a honest person. I love the heavy dose of reality.

Insightful, serious and witty

I listened to the book at the suggestion of a great colleague and glad I did. Altucher comes across sincere, knowledgable, experienced and is able to connect with listeners like he is having a conversation with you. I thought the narrating was excellent, with interludes and interesting stories. Highly recommended.

Good book

Good book to listen too while driving. Doesn't require full attention which I like. You can really feel the passion in the authors voice. That's why audiobooks narrated by the author will always be my preference. (For non fiction)

Read it. It's good.

I listen to a lot of motivational books of this sort. This one has similarities with many others of its type. As a dedicated listener of audiobooks, at first I was not used to how he read the book but soon came to really enjoyed it. In fact, the personal touch made me think most books of this type should be read by the author. I found this book entertaining and would recommend it to a friend. Although not all of the concepts are new, they are worth hearing again.

This guy, if you're just getting to learn him like I am, he'll keep you in stiches. Super smart guy, and not in math, he apparently sucks at math - me , too., but in many other areas and he's so worth listening to.

Rambly in a good way.

I'm not a hard core reader of James, and this is my first of his books to read. Just as what I've picked up from his posts on Facebook and Quora. I found him to be authentic, with simple but useful tips. You may have heard them before, but the context of using them to break free of pay-your-dues-to-be-chosen living is fresh. Thanks, James!

Interesting listen

This book was not quite what I was expecting, which was more along the lines why and how one should be an entrepreneur. It is more James's reflections on his failures and how he bounced back to succeed. There is a lot of anecdotal advice, but it all mainly comes back to his daily practice concept. In this respect, I do feel it is a little light on actionable tactics. I appreciate his honesty, but the casual approach may not work for some. I'm giving some benefit of the doubt, because I think the author has great intentions, just the execution was not incredibly thorough.
