Publisher's summary

They dwell in darkness, craving human flesh, thirsting for human blood. Only one man can stop them and keep them from infecting the world—and he is too paralyzed with fear to act.

David Hammond and Anna Braddon arrive in Milbourne, Connecticut where the horribly mutilated body of Anna's brother has been discovered. Nobody knows what caused Jeffery's death, or the mysterious disappearance of other townspeople.

Only one man has the courage to seek the truth, and in a subterranean cavern beneath Milbourne's quiet streets, he has come face to face with a horror beyond description. But he can never share his dreadful knowledge, for the sight has driven him insane....

Great performance of a fantastic paperback from hell

Awesome fun. Check it out and enjoy an awesome pulp horror novel read by one of the genre's best narrators.

Old school eighties creature feature …

This is a republish of an old 1980’s creature feature called “Spawn of Hell”. This was a good solid, fast-paced creature feature with plenty of scares and a good build up with plenty of suspense. I was a bit disappointed with all the attention paid to the love interest of the two main characters which I didn’t feel added anything to the overall plot of the story. All in all it was an enjoyable read that I would recommend to fans of creature feature horror. 3 1/2 stars. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did an excellent performance that enhanced my enjoyment of the story. I would certainly try other titles by this author.

Very well written and narrated

This was my first book by William Schoell and I was not disappointed. It good character development and some nice horror moments with a good mystery. Would recommend.
