Not as good

I never felt invested in the story. It never grabbed me. I will still look forward to their next collaboration.

Enjoyed the story and thought the twists and turns were wonderful. Great story, well told!!

Just when you think you have found the solution ... you haven't! So, start thinking again! LOL

What A Ride!

I had stopped reading James Patterson in recent years because I felt that he was just slapping his name on the covers of unknown authors’ books for the money to help sell it. His voice was nowhere present in those stories. However, I felt that this book had JP’s voice and style of weaving a complex, engaging who-dun-it thriller.

I enjoyed all the twist and turns of a good complex police procedural, and was thrilled to not have already figured out the plot or culprits by the end. My one complaint is that I hated the way that the story ended as I always like to see the good guys win and the villains pay. That last bit with the cat ruined it for me, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Every body got what they deserved.

I liked the book but it was very different than what I have read before.
