Truly have IMMENSELY enjoyed all his books. Checks all my boxes & am never bored . I’m always frustrated that I didn’t space it out more to make it last longer … but I just wanna keep listening. This is how to tell a story!..again

Constant action and suspense

I loved this book, I love books that are hard to put down. Twists and turns keep you on your toes. The only negative I would is it kinda reminded me of the movie “Speed.”

I couldn’t put it down! So good! Looking forward to others by this author ! It was great!

It was okay

I felt like we should have gotten deeper into the story. It had such a good outline but I felt like I didn’t like any of the characters and didn’t care about any of them.

Another Entertaining Rollercoaster

Never know what may happen! Great characters u can relate to good & bad. Stumbled on 4 Monkey killer books & now looking for anything from Barker

Non-Stop Action!

I enjoyed this story, even though at times I felt like it could have been shorter. The action was non-stop and really pulled you in to the story. I did have a little issue with the narration of the audiobook, but it did not take away from the story. The female narration was too quiet - I couldn't hear it when I was in a noisy situation. J.D. Barker continues to be one of my favorite newly discovered authors!

Enjoyed

Great story line. Loved the girl narrator the guy not so much. Worth the time if you have it though.

Good, Fast Paced Story but....

As much as I enjoy a book like this there always comes a point when you know how it will end. It's the same with movies of this genre. They'll keep one on the edge of their seat with twists and surprises for most of the ride but then they have no surprises left and just have to wrap things up. No ticking clock, no countdown alarm, no plunge into an icy river, no harrowing high speed chase ever end other than how one expects. Those, by the way, are just examples... not spoilers. At least this book throws some good surprises at you up until that point.

Narration not the best

The book was ok. Not a “page turner” by any means which is probably due to the female narrator. Sounds like she’s recording on the first read. Emotionality for events lacking and a monotonous rate. Really reduced the high paced action to a dull retelling…and I listen at a faster than average rate.

Mind blown

I loved this book! I read the Fmk series first and just needed more from J.D Barker! This definitely did not disappoint in fact now I feel as if I’m stuck and can’t find anything that draws me in! You will not regret this one! 5 stars from me!
