So cute!

Daniel and Mac are precious! This was such a unique and cool storyline, and I loved watching these two banter and fall for the other. I loved watching how Allie shows each student’s fun characters, and I didn’t feel like they were just plot keys. They were a huge part of the story and Daniel and Mac falling in love. I was sad about their breakup at the end, but their coming together was so sweet! I loved this! Megan Carver was a great narrator, too!

Good book

The narrator did a good job with this book. I enjoyed listening to the story.

I would have loved dual PoV

I would have loved to have both points of view for this book. It was lovely! The narrator wasn’t my absolute favorite but she did very well! Definitely recommend!

Hopelessly romantic

This rom com is so sweet and … believable? Like Nora Ephron believable… Like I could go to work and chat with Mac and Jenny. Like I could TBR Daniel’s books. Just delightful.

A story for book lovers!

It took a while to settle into the narrators take on the characters. Appreciated the bonus chapter that gave voice to the male main characters POV.

I love this book so much!

I read the e-book and was excited to listen to the audio. The audio brought this story up another level and I had so much fun listening. Megan Carver did a great job with the narration. I am excited to listen to the second book in the series!

The Write Place

This is a new to me author and my November Buddy read, which I couldn’t put down once I started!

I was just really able to connect with the characters.
I loved the slow transition into Mac and Daniel’s relationship and the witty remarks and conversations they have. The friendships that they have and built during was priceless. If you are looking for something with a little of everything then this is it..swoon moments, laugh out loud, and a bit of spice with an HEA.

I can’t wait to read the rest in the series!
This is a must read.

Real Characters and Real Emotions

Looking for a contemporary romance that features real characters with real emotions in real situations with real jobs that keep you engaged with a fun and cute plot? It’s this one! Mackenzie is a content, single high school English teacher until her days are upturned by the presence of Daniel, a best-selling author shadowing her profession for his next book during a severe case of writer’s block. Their push/pull chemistry is full of witty banter and spark, their road to romance not without bumps and wrong turns but does have steam and true consideration of each other’s feelings and actions.
The single female narrator, Megan Carver, does a fantastic job with both points-of-view, capturing the essence of each character. I appreciated her expressiveness and engagement to her narration.

Great Start to a Series!

Oh Allie, how I love your writing!

Mac and Daniel are the cutest little love story. They both come to the table with baggage that either really wants to share, so seeing them grow and change and accept each other was everything. Mac was so fun and quick witted. I also love that she didn’t take any nonsense from her coworkers. Get it girl! I can’t wait to see who the next couple at Leade Park is 😍

Megan Carver did a phenomenal job of bringing the characters to life and helping me connect with them and their stories as well.

Great listen!

Such a fun listen. You can only hope most teachers have a little bit of the main characters compassion and commitment. Made plane time fly.
