So cute!

Daniel and Mac are precious! This was such a unique and cool storyline, and I loved watching these two banter and fall for the other. I loved watching how Allie shows each student’s fun characters, and I didn’t feel like they were just plot keys. They were a huge part of the story and Daniel and Mac falling in love. I was sad about their breakup at the end, but their coming together was so sweet! I loved this! Megan Carver was a great narrator, too!

Good book

The narrator did a good job with this book. I enjoyed listening to the story.

I would have loved dual PoV

I would have loved to have both points of view for this book. It was lovely! The narrator wasn’t my absolute favorite but she did very well! Definitely recommend!

Hopelessly romantic

This rom com is so sweet and … believable? Like Nora Ephron believable… Like I could go to work and chat with Mac and Jenny. Like I could TBR Daniel’s books. Just delightful.

Sweet, Feel-Good Rom-Com to add to your TBR

This story was such a sweet, feel-good rom-com, and I loved every second of it! Mac and Daniel’s chemistry was undeniable from the start, and I really enjoyed how their connection grew naturally throughout the story. It had all the cozy vibes of a small-town romance with a fun twist—famous author meets high school teacher? Yes, please!

The audiobook made the experience even better. The narrator absolutely nailed it—every character had so much personality, and the emotions came through in all the right ways. I didn’t want to hit pause!

If you're looking for a quick, charming listen that blends books, banter, and just the right amount of romance, this one’s definitely worth adding to your TBR (or TBListen)!

Swoony Teacher x Writer Romance

A story about an English teacher and a writer trying to find his groove again? Say less. I was hooked from the start! 😍

I fell in love with @alliesambertswrites writing last year—her ability to create characters that feel real, flawed, and so relatable is what keeps me coming back. So when I was gifted the audiobook of The Write Place, I couldn’t wait to dive in. I already owned the whole Leade Park series on Kindle, but listening? A whole new experience. 🫶🏽

This cozy, small-town romance gave me all the warm fuzzies. Mac and Daniel were the perfect complement to each other—steady, sweet, and full of quiet chemistry. And the way the story wove in bookish themes? As a lifelong reader and former teacher, it honestly made me feel seen. 🥹

Mac’s journey as a teacher really tugged at my heart—those moments of impact in the classroom, the exhaustion, the passion, the longing for purpose. It made me miss my teacher years.

And the narration… Megan Carver completely nailed it. Her performance brought Mac’s emotions to life and gave each character their own distinct energy. The pacing was perfect for a morning listen, and it turned my daily commute into something I looked forward to.

I breezed through this audiobook in just a couple of days, completely immersed in the soft love story, the giggles, and all of Daniel’s moments-

A story for book lovers!

It took a while to settle into the narrators take on the characters. Appreciated the bonus chapter that gave voice to the male main characters POV.

I love this book so much!

I read the e-book and was excited to listen to the audio. The audio brought this story up another level and I had so much fun listening. Megan Carver did a great job with the narration. I am excited to listen to the second book in the series!

The Write Place

This is a new to me author and my November Buddy read, which I couldn’t put down once I started!

I was just really able to connect with the characters.
I loved the slow transition into Mac and Daniel’s relationship and the witty remarks and conversations they have. The friendships that they have and built during was priceless. If you are looking for something with a little of everything then this is it..swoon moments, laugh out loud, and a bit of spice with an HEA.

I can’t wait to read the rest in the series!
This is a must read.

Their push/pull chemistry is full of witty banter and spark, their road to romance not without bumps and wrong turns but does have steam and true consideration of each other’s feelings and actions.
The single female narrator, Megan Carver, does a fantastic job with both points-of-view, capturing the essence of each character. I appreciated her expressiveness and engagement to her narration.
