Publisher's Summary

The second and final audiobook in the sexy First Witch duet with an HEA ending.

My name is Freyja. I will soon cease to exist unless I acquire a cure for my curse from the fey in the twilight realm. The fey empress will kill me if she learns I'm an abomination - a Nephilim. And I'm not just the spawn of any angel, but the monstrous angel king she beheaded.

The smoking-hot, formidable Dragonian prince, my abductor, knows nothing about my curse or that I am his fated mate he is desperately searching for - the First Witch. As we draw close to the fey territory, a horde of my father's former sentinels captures me. They plan to harvest my magic and drain me to resurrect the High Lord of All Angels - my evil grandfather.

The prince comes for me and saves me from the horrific fate, yet he still has to choose either the First Witch or me as the wolf girl. Though his passion for me burns hotter than flame, a Dragonian never strays from a decided course. He believes if he picks me, he'll lose his future mate and the great kingdom she's meant to bring him. He doesn't know the witch and the wolf girl are one and the same. If he chooses the witch instead of me - hot, fresh, eager, and right in front of him - he'll lose both.

Wow What a Great Sequel!

I would really encourage anyone that is thinking about reading this book to start with the first book. Book one is so great and you will not want to miss it! The writing is amazing and I just could not put it down!

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

Here you will find action, suspense, mystery, and sizzling romance! The story is so gripping that is hard to get anything done until you figure out how everything is going to turn out! I read the kindle edition last year and I still got sucked in and could not put it down.

The Dragonian prince takes awhile to realize what is write in front of him. Freyja misunderstands just about everything he does and somehow gets jealous of his feelings for the “First Witch”! Which is like being jealous of herself! Lol

I loved to way everything wrapped up nicely at the conclusion after a major epic battle!

A sizzling read!

Loved loved the first book and this book simply blew me away. Absolutely wonderful story. The action. The suspense. The steam. Oh boy.

The writing was beautiful. Brilliant story. These two main characters were amazing - loved them though the hero was blind to what was right in front of him and I just wanted to kick him for no realising it sooner! All the clues were there!

The narration was amazing. Great voice. So lovely!

Good continuation of the first of the duet...

It would be difficult to review The Witch’s Consort without mentioning the first book in the series, The Dragonian’s Witch. The books should be listened to together. The author does an excellent job of world building without getting too bogged down in unnecessary details. In the first book, I loved the strength of the heroine. She stood up for herself against some very powerful alphas, and the push and pull between the hero and the heroine captured my interest. Unfortunately, in the second book, I felt like both main characters became petulant and contrary just to create unnecessary angst. That said, it was still a good read with an exciting storyline and a satisfying conclusion.

I enjoyed the narrator of the first book more than Victoria Mei, but both narrators did a good job. Usually, the substitution of a narrator in a series is very disruptive, but it only took me a few chapters to get used to the new voice for each character.

I received a copy of The Witch’s Consort from the author and Audio Boom in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful Journey with Unforgettable Characters

It's quite a journey Freyja takes Ares. He's very focused on finding the witch, who is Freyja, and we get a lot as they quibble and try to fight their chemistry. It's an unpredictable, but very enjoyable journey. This is a voluntary review of a gifted copy, but also a follow up book to tie everything together. Well written and great voice talent.

Great Paranormal Story!

This was my first book by Meg Xuemei X. This is the second book in The First Witch duet, a Paranormal Romance. I haven't read the first book in the Series. The story is well written, entertaining and captivating. The main characters Freyja and Ares are great together, and they share a strong chemistry. The secondary characters are also interesting. The storyline is suspenseful, filled with mystery and romance. The world building is fantastic. I loved the ending. The narration was wonderful. Victoria Mei has a beautiful voice that fits perfectly with this story. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

What I had been waiting on...

So first thing I'll say is if you've not read the first in this series, pick it up in addition to this book. I loved the first book and this one didn't disappoint me in the least! I feel like I had been waiting forever to hear more of the story, but it was worth the wait! This is definitely one to pick up!

Let this audio grab you

Even though this is book 2 in the series and I haven’t heart book 1 it will still grab you and you’ll be wondering what happened. Supposedly it continues right from the end of book 1. This is a YA paranormal audio , my first of that kind .

Victoria Mel was great narrating this story. Her voice is smooth, strong and clear . She brings that characters to you .

Freya is worried that some people , enemies are and will take her to the dark lord . Ares is her other half but he doesn’t know what to do with his felling Freya plays the jeolous part, but Ares is telling her there is no one else .

I’ve re read this so many times

The writing is one of the authors older that I’ve read, and it comes off as a little juvenile… with several grammatical and spelling errors throughout- this being said, it’s my absolute favorite by her and one of my favorite re reads. A guilty pleasure. This was my first time listening to it, and it was kinda pretty cringe. The narrator wasn’t the worst I’ve ever heard- she was solidly in the middle- but all of her male characters sounded like Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted’d Excellent adventure- super weird, as I never have pictured the H as a surfer boy type.

Very Enjoyable, but...

I very much enjoyed the overall story and I'm giving it 5 stars because I do recommend the story. I found the story arc and love scenes very satisfying, but... The narrator changes between the first and second book. The narrator had this valley girl twang when reading and made the guys voice sound like a sufer dude. It was quit annoying at times. Also the heroine of the story was soooo dumb at times i had to keep reminding myself the girl in the story is only 21 to make her actions and thoughts make sense. Despite these complaints, I enjoyed the characters and the story in general.

A steamy read

I found the first book The Dragonian's Witch a fantastic read, this was a a great sequel full of action, romance and suspense. Freya and Ares are still at odds, neither willing to compromise, I did empathise with Freya wanting Ares to choose her as wolf girl, but I did think she was a bit too stubborn, along with Ares being to arrogant to see what's right in front of him. I was enrapt throughout the whole book, just needing to know what was next for the mismatched duo, would the prophecy play out, would the angels catch them or which of the guardians would win the bet! I loved every steamy, angsty minute of this book!

***Beautifully Written***

I loved how Meg wrote a character that is so easy to love and relate too (not in a magical way) but living freely and fighting for what she wants in life. It's the explosive finally of the first witch and wow it went out with a bang. It's incredible to see Freya let go and embraced who she is and explodes haha. Beautifully narrated by Victoria Mei thank you.
