Loved it. Filled with variety and just enough to leave you waiting to hear more about the storyline.

Enjoyable stories

I really enjoyed these short stories. Can highly recommend for something new and was an interesting listen.

No endings…

Weird. It’s like listening to the radio and every song ends halfway through. Then, the next song immediately begins. To say you’re left hanging is an understatement.
I enjoyed the stories (or the beginning of them) and loved the narration.

Some of the stories are great..the only thing is..

I thought most of these stories were very good. The narration is amazing! My only problem is that the author seems like one of those people my partner told me about who actually believes every white person is inherently racist....

Overall I liked the I skipped one it appeared to be about child abuse. That story was skipped

Tananarive Due always delivers

I've never been disappointed by a Tananarive Due book. She's one of the few authors who can make you feel like you know a character even though it's a short story. Incident at Bear Creek Lodge hit me pretty hard. It left a lump in my throat that's decided to stay around. Last Stop On Route 9 kept me in a whole body clench from a couple minutes in all the way to the end.
The writing is real and can be hard on your soul at times. Those are the best kind of stories. Both narrators did the stories justice. I'm going to hold off on listening to the dozen books in my library that are waiting for me and buy another Due book. Her writing is addictive.
