Ana Bacon, a beautiful young wife and mother, tumbled off a cruise ship into dark and deadly waters. Ana is gone - leaving behind her wealthy husband and adorable daughter - but not everything about her disappearance adds up. What secrets did she leave behind?

Investigator Ryan Monahan is a numbers man. So when his company sends him the Bacon case, which could net a 10 million-dollar payout, Monahan doubts that her death is just a tragic accident. But the husband has a substantial alibi and a number of witnesses claim to have seen Ana fall, and the official ruling seems to hold up.

Still, the more Monahan uncovers about Ana's life, the more he realizes how many people would kill to keep her secrets hidden. And the closer he gets to the truth, the greater the odds grow that he, too, will take a fatal fall.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Widower's Wife?

It is told with two storylines intertwined. Ryan's investigation in late November and early December is interspersed with Ana and Tom Bacon's decision in October to defraud the insurance company . It has many suspenseful parts that it was hard to pause while listening to the audiobook.

Liked the idea and initial storyline but then it became very predictable and the ending felt rushed and messy. Unfortunately, these things were made worse by the mediocre narratation.

Unique Plot But Rushed Ending

What did you like best about The Widower's Wife? What did you like least?

Honest Review :
The story was ok and the narrations were easy to listen to but I just feel...for me personally that the story had to many jump scenes. I felt I was listening to one part and then it would go another part and then jump right back to where I had been before it went to another scene and it became confusing for me

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

What was leading up to the wife

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrators voice was soft and easy and knew when to pick up and slow down

Was The Widower's Wife worth the listening time?

Yes and No...

Any additional comments?

Not so many jump scenes

Not to bad

Interesting story....wanted to find out "what happens" but truly unbelievable.....would anyone continue down the financial, emotional and dangerous road this woman traveled.......
The ending was also "unbelievable".....and one knows this would never happen in the real world.....
A true walk down fantasy lane !
