On the battlefields of the future, death is not the end for a soldier.

The Revenant Program collects badly wounded soldiers broken by war and converts them into unthinking, unfeeling cyborg weapons. Their bodies are immune to pain, their minds impervious to fear and doubt. All controlled by a neural implant called the Imperative.

They are the ideal force for any mission too deadly or too difficult for normal men. A force that answers to the darkest corners of the military.

But when one of the Revenants awakens, he can only remember two things: that he must fight, and a code name…Dead Man.

Who was he before he became a Revenant? What are the officers and scientists controlling the program to do with a soldier that can question the horrific orders he’s given?

The more those controlling the Dead Man learn of who he was, they realize they may have turned a monster into something truly unstoppable. And with every memory recovered, the Imperative drives the Dead Man closer to insanity.

The Weapon is a new series by best-selling military science fiction author Richard Fox, author of the Ember War Saga and Governor: Ascent to Empire.

The story was well written and well performed. I really enjoyed the narrators voicing of different characters.

I really enjoyed a couple of the twists, predictable, but enjoyable, none the less.

I've read all of Fox's stuff and this is the best. Brown delivers a fantastic performance. Don't miss this.

What a series!

The super-soldier concept is pretty cool. There is a lot of action and the plot was engaging. The second book was cool with its vigilante vibes. The final book was a homecoming with a lot more revealed about the program that created the soldiers. The narrator did a good job. I am just critical of his Russian in the first book. It was pretty incomprehensible. Luckily there wasn’t much Russian.

Interesting premise

Oh California is a sh*t hole, damn liberal pussies ruined everything. With a heavy dose of Christian bull shit symbolism. Overall interesting premise but there’s never any drama, and has a sudden canned ending.

MAGA delusions have infiltrated the authors brain

I wasted a credit on it because the I was stationed at/near one of the locations in the story. I couldn't get past the cadence of the narrator. He tried to make me feel that it was action packed even in normal conversations. I am sorry but these high reviews are really confusing to me. A 2 or 3 at best.

took me 8 days to be able to listen to 7 chapters
