Publisher's Summary

"Effortless mindfulness" is a new way to immediately enter an optimal flow state available to us in the midst of our busy lives. In The Way of Effortless Mindfulness, Loch Kelly teaches that when you "unhook" awareness from chattering thoughts, you can access a peaceful mind and a naturally embodied wakefulness. From this heartful space, students report they find that right action comes easily and a loving tenderness for all of life is freely available.

This follow-up to Kelly's award-winning Shift into Freedom outlines practical and supportive material from neuroscience, psychology, and the wisdom of various spiritual traditions. Here you will find a listener-friendly guide to understanding exactly what effortless mindfulness is, practices for engaging with it, and how to avoid the pitfalls to the full embodiment of this timeless awareness. The Way of Effortless Mindfulness offers a compelling introduction to the next stage in the ongoing mindfulness revolution.

Horrible narration

Loch Kelly is a wonderful writer and teacher, but the narration ruined it for me. What should be a relatively straightforward performance is instead delivered with the intensity of a suspense thriller. I was so distracted by the narrator’s style, I found it impossible to focus on the message of the book. I truly hope Loch will re-release this audiobook with his own narration.

Narrator doesn't do it for me

Returning this title. I wish Loch had recorded it in his own voice. I will look for a kindle version, because I really like Loch's work

Important workbook on effortless mindfulness and awakening

This book is by far one of the most practical books I read on mindfulness, awakening and love. The practice exercises called glimpses took me beyond the chattering ego to a state of quiet awareness again and again. Many of my questions got answered. I am also grateful to the author for introducing IFS (internal family systems).

Those interested in Consciousness and non duality. I found Loch Kelly's through Sam Harris's app.

As read by Batman

I absolutely love the content of this book. I am finding it truly transformational. For me, personally, however, I was not able to get comfortable with the vocal performance. To me, it sounded overwrought and imbued with unnecessary drama. That's just my personal opinion though.

Why is Loch not narrator on this book?

Loch is in all likelihood the only person who is able to properly narrate his books.

Because they contain guided meditations, the words are greatly dependent on being coupled with the Wisdom component of Mind that Loch has come to embody through his many years of teaching.

The most useful direct path awakening manual

This book and the accompanying "shift into freedom" audiobook is one of the most useful awakening tools that i have enountered in my search. Loch has the ability to translate oftentimes arcane and complex mahamudra teachings into simple yet profoundly powerful awakening excercises that will enable you to shift into your natural state - awake awareness and allow you to operate from there. Awakening to, and living from awake awareness is truly transformative and must be directly experienced to be believed. Life suddenly becomes so much more simple, direct, clear and compassionate, while the ego armor slowly starts dissolving away, and with it so much unnecessary suffering. And this is incredible. I wholeheartedly recommend earnestly and diligently applying these excercises - glimpses over and over again. Once they become your second nature you will feel freedom and happines of your natural state you probably haven't felt since your early childhood. The teachings on awake awareness are a real gift to humanity, and it is hard to find more skillful, kind amd gentle guide then Loch. Thank you Loch for your wonderful teachings from the depths of my awake awareness!

I only wish that Loch had narrated.

the narrator wasn't as bad as people are saying

Another great book from Loch. I wish he was narrating, but this guy wasn't bad at all. Still a great listen.

Well needed

I needed this book. Mindfulness should be effortless. It should be a natural state of mind. And hopefully as soon as I apply what I have been learning for the next few years, it will become my natural state of mind.

Peace.

Great book

Glimpses are invaluable. Easy, fast and powerful give immediate access to levels of awareness, usually hidden behind everyday small-mind clutter.

I didn't have the audio recording issue the previous reviewer reported. Was well read too.

Very poor recording

The start of each sentence or paragraph is cut off. Very distracting and difficult to listen to
