Publisher's Summary

Atticus Higginbottom is trapped in the Nonex with his mortal enemy Mistress Jane and the corrupt and powerful Mr. Chu. No one has ever escaped the Nonex before, but for Tick, Jane, or Mr. Chu to have any hope of surviving the dangerous and deadly realm, they will have to work together for the first time in their lives. And they must escape. An all-consuming void has opened up and is unleashing monsters throughout the Realities.

All of reality is unraveling at the seams and Tick's friends and fellow Realitants are facing an epic war that could spell the end of all they hold dear. Master George has one last weapon at his disposal: the mysterious and unpredictable Karma button. And depending on the character of the person who wields it will determine if its unlimited power is used for good or for evil. The Void of Mist and Thunder is the fourth and final book in the 13th Reality series.

Don't like the new narrator

I've read or listened to all of these books and all of the maze runner books. Maybe I'm just not used to listening to book compared to reading them but I was used to the narrator of the last book and how he did the different characters voices and then I started listening to this one and could not get used to the new lady. I'm finding it hard to even pay attention or get into the book because I just don't like the narration. I thought the book was good tho overall. Maybe I'll try reading a hard copy.

good

I did love the book I just felt it was rushed sadly and that one more book would have been perfect.

What happened?

I love the first three books in this series. But what the heck happened here? It takes like an hour to get across one plot point. This book feels horribly stretched thin. James Dashner must have been swept away with the success of Maze Runner, so he rushed this book out just to get it over with. That’s my theory, anyway. Also, this series started out so lighthearted and fun, but it ends super dark and depressing. I’m 22, and I was disturbed by some of the themes in this book. I thought this was a children’s book series. Anyway, one good thing about this audiobook is that the new narrator is better than the old one. But that’s about all I can say that’s good. Sorry to be a “negative Nancy”.

Uggh

Could not even get past the beginning chapters of the book. The Atticus character was just extremely, extremely annoying. I turned the book off and I won't be finishing this. I can't.

What a letdown

For one, if I would have paid attention to the fact that the narrator changed, I would never have bought this final book of the series. It was pretty painful to listen to. The 1st book on Audible that I have been disappointed with.

Felt Like I was in a Void

This was rather longer than I think It needed to be. The other three books were excellent and the reader for them was MUCH better with the voices. This story had a lot going on and to many side plots. Was not impressed.

I miss the old narrator

It's a new narrator from the first three. I'm just used to the old one
