Publisher's summary

Lucas Daniels knows that witches and vampires are real.

Lucas has discovered that witch blood flows through his veins and he can perform magic, but it is hardly within his control. And the more he delves into his gifts, the more dangerous they appear.

Count Konstantin "the Wolf" Volk must keep Lucas’ parentage a secret from the Nomad while searching for a way to free himself and Lucas from Gaia’s plot. But how can he succeed when the Nomad sees and hears all?

Note: This novella series has cliffhangers! Every book will end on one. That's my natural writing style. If you do not like cliffhangers, wait until the whole series is published to listen. Thanks for the support!

X. Aratare writes gay paranormal romance with witches, vampires, magic, and mystery. Though some books may venture into dark territory, they will all have happy endings.

Narrators

Ethan Holton should have been the only narrator. The new narrator didn't keep the same voices.

new narrator bad

the story is great and is getting me through boring days at work, but man is the new voice actor bad. (sorry Kieran) Too whiny and breathy. I'm not sure what the point of changing voice actors towards the end of the series is.

Like the story and...

I definitely am a fan of X. Aratare. I have the e-books, audiobooks and a membership to Raythe Reign. I usually don't like the change in narrators but most of the time, I just ignore it and enjoy the story. I admit that at first I wasn't sure about this narrator but I liked how he personified the characters a lot better, just some word's pronunciations were weird.

The story is incredible and the best and worst cliffhanger. I'm curious of how Lucas and the Nomad will bond, if they ever do, in the next book.

I really missed the old narrator and was really put off by the mispronounciation of stuff. but this new guy grew on me.

Wish narration stayed the same

The story is amazing i love it! Just wish the original reader didn’t stop narrating at for the last two books. The loss of accents and change of reading/wording really threw things off.

The series awesome!! 💜💙💛💚

💜💙💛💚 The new narrator was real good. However, changing narrator close to the end of the series isn't fair to the incoming narrator. But, since both were amazing the story still gets justice. Sometimes, these situations cannot be avoided. Thank goodness in this case it worked. Their voices were truly full of life. The novel covers colorfully, sexy, beautiful. It makes you want to know about the story inside the book. You will not be disappointed that is for sure. Sexy, dark, deep, interesting, colorful, and amazing. Lucas and Konstantin, along with the other characters took my breath away. What an amazing creative take on a paranormal series. I so highly recommend this series. The narrators, both did an outstanding job! ENJOY! 💜💙💛💚

narrator change

omg!! been waiting for this next book and we learn right off the bat that we have a new narrator. The story is so good and gave so much more of the information we've been waiting for. The narrator made it hard to follow without any distinction between characters. hopefully, the next book will be back to the original narrator....if you've listened to the rest of the series you need this book for the updates on the story but, it's not easy to listen too...

Just what I’ve been looking for.

This story has been pretty amazing thus far! I don’t necessarily have a problem with the new narrator, however, it almost seems as if he did not listen to the previous books. There are certain nuances, & pronunciations that have already been established that I wished would have carried on throughout the book. Certain moments that would have previously been conveyed with a sense of confidence, have been now lost in almost sheepish reading. That said the writing still shines through, and I’m listening to it again to make sure I caught all the beautifully descriptive scenes. Highly recommend the entire series.
