I really enjoyed reading this author.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.

great finale!

I've read all three and Gavin was my favorite character! I loved his brooding personality and the many layers to his character. I was so eager to read his story and find out how his personality came to be.

The best for last

I just knew Gavin would have the best story! I knew the pain he displayed throughout the series would have the most painful back story. But the love of a good woman will always bring a man back from his torment. I've read all of Nancy Herkness books and can't wait for her next

Hot!!! Must Read

What a great series,, I actually stumbled on Author Nancy Herkness looking for something good, hot and sexy to read over the weekend and boy am I glad. Gavin and Allie story was hot and emotional on so many level. book one with Nathan and Chloe accidentally love, and Like and Miranda perfect romance.
I'm plan on reading all of Nancy books

The VIP Doubles Down

I loved this one! Gavin is a writer who has not written a word of the novel he is under contract for and it has him in knots. His publisher send a physical therapist over to work out the knots in his shoulders and arms and apparently she is as well versed in his novels and characters as he is. Even though he fires her on the spot they work out a deal. Soon the chemistry takes over and she is working for him as an assistant instead of a therapist and he is writing again. This was probably my favorite of this series, although I did love them all.

Fantastic End to the Series

A perfect ending to a fantastic series. I’ve enjoyed each book in the series immensely. The VIP Doubles Down takes an interesting spin on the Cinderella story. It’s very subtle, but quite enjoyable to see similar elements of the two stories explored in this manner.
Gavin has long been my favorite character. His gruff nature and tendency to get under the skin of the other billionaires has certainly entertained over the course of the last two books. I knew his story and the woman who claims his heart were going to be fantastic. I enjoyed the previous two books in the series and the formula works very well in this one as well. Wealthy business seeks the love of an everyday woman who cares for him and not his money or status. The women are all strong, feisty, and take no BS from their wealthy lovers.
Here’s the breakdown: Gavin is a world-famous author suffering from writer’s block and back pain as a result of stress. His publicist hires a physical therapist him overcome the physical pain, but she ends up doing so much than that.
What I enjoyed: Gavin has been my favorite character throughout the series. He’s been in pain in the butt to the previous businessmen, which endeared me to him. He not only brings a bit of humor to the earlier books by pushing everyone’s buttons. In this book, he gets as good as he gives.
Ally is a perfect match for him. She’s recently separated from her ex-husband and looking for a fresh start. She refuses to become so caught up in another man that she loses her sense of self. However, that doesn’t prevent her from giving in to her desires. She balances her work, professional, and personal life perfectly. I enjoyed the relationship development immensely.
The backstory for each character is well done, but I was blown away by Gavin’s past. It was brilliantly plotted.
Overall, this is a very enjoyable book and magnificent series. I recommend it to readers who enjoy romance with just a hint of emotion and humor.
Audiobook review: Lauren Ezzo's performance is brilliant. I enjoyed it very much and would definitely recommend other titles performed by this artist.

My Favorite of the Wager of Hearts Trilogy

Nancy Herkness tells Gavin’s story in The VIP Doubles Down, third of three novels in the Wager of Hearts trilogy. I enjoyed all three books. This one offers a fully developed look at Gavin, a troubled novelist facing writer’s block. The book delivers a love story mixed with lingering issues from a difficult childhood and the loss of Gavin’s creative muse.
