very entertaining

enjoyable read, light hearted, well crafted. it's a regency romance, but the romance is a small part of the plot. mostly, just good regency characters!

Fabulous story and great reading

This is a really excellent and engaging audiobook reading of this interesting story full of fascinating characters!

Great Characters, excellent performance

One of my favorite Heyer books, with great characters and humor and no ton parties.

A classic story with a twist!

This book starts off very slowly, and I almost returned it as of chapter 5. But the reviews were so positive that I decided to continue, and I am really glad I did. It not only picks up, it becomes a great story that is comedic as well as satisfying. I would give the last half 5 stars.

Story good

Story was witty but not my favorite though it had some pretty funny moments, especially at the end. Narrator was excellent. I think I am spoiled by Cotillion and wish all stories were as funny.

Good storytelling and performance !

Characters are round and interesting. Worth attention. I have enjoyed this more than once , a rare thing.

Well done classic

Classic Heyer witty entertaining story and very well done voice acting by the narrator. The dialects were particularly good.

So glad to discover a production and narrator that do justice to one of my favorite Georgette Heyer stories—with humor and warmth as well as strong characterizations. Huzzah!

Love it

This one is a keeper. I’ve read quite a few Heyer that I don’t really care for, but this is one that I’d re-read. There’s an interesting cast of characters, some more fleshed out than others, but all believable. Love both the male and female leads, and awed by Lady Aurelia.
