The Talsman Ring sparkles with romance, mystery, wit and humor! The narrator is excellent, The story and characters are very well done!

My most favorite Heyer

A romantic mystery of absurd proportions this is probably the best Heyer tale. I laughed out loud on my walks. The audio performance was almost perfect. Highly recommended.

Excellent narrator

This story is light and humorous, not the best of Heyer, but thoroughly enjoyable. The narrator was great - managed multiple accents easily, he was the best thing about this audio book.

GH’s humor is outstanding!

This was the very first GH novel I ever read and didn’t care for it at all. That was years ago. It was the only one I didn’t like. I am so glad it was talked up so much on a blog that I gave it another chance. It is extraordinary. I literally laughed out loud many times. It is classic Heyer!

My Favorite Heyer

And that’s saying something, in the company of Venetia and The Grand Sophy. This one gives us two very different but equally adorable couples, a mystery and the most hilarious of Georgette’s heroines, a marvelous spoof of the French. It’s also beautifully performed. Fall in love — twice!

A fabulous screwball romantic comedy

The story was delightful and the narrator nailed the delivery. Bravo! I wish it never had to end—it was that entertaining.

A Delight

I read several of Heyers books in my twenties they still grace the bookshelves in the family room However I have been on audible for three years now and enjoy listening to books during the course of my day from walking cooking and running chores I love the humor and the mystery. All you could want in a is a bright cozy filled with likable characters brought to life. Mon ami.

Great narration

Joe Jameson does male and female voices very well. Each voice is distinctive and I know clearly who is speaking. A happy story, some wonderful low key irony. Georgette Heyer writes sweet gentle novels with more adventure than romantic interludes. She uses dialogue to progress the story, and spends very little time in the hearts and minds of her characters. I like her reticence.
