The best 14 hours I've spent in a long time!

If you could sum up The Unblocked Collection in three words, what would they be?

Rollercoaster, exciting, love

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that even though there were road blocks and bumps, they kept coming back to the idea of love.

What does Joe Arden and Molly Glenmore bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Joe and Molly bring so much emotion to this story that I can't bring out in my imagination.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment when she finally realized that she could allow love and her career in her life equally and still be happy. I believe a lot of people find it hard to make it all work and this book brings hope.

Sigh...

Woman spends her entire life working towards a goal. Cleaned toilets, fetched coffee to get where she is. Meets a man and golly gee whats a girl to do? Friends encourage you to get the man forget the job. So what, they say. If he lied to you he must have a good reason. Go ahead gamble your future for a maybe and good sex. I am still looking for the book with all the sizzle and none of the stupid.

Love love love!!

I love this book!!! I wish there was more suspense between Block and his Uncle and Frankie and Reid! It would have brought an element of nail biting!! But over all I loved the characters and would have loved more domination from Derick!

Issa no for me dawg

I read a lot of romance novels-- they're my one vice. So I have a very high tolerance for corn, absurd plots, endless alphas, lazily-written secondary characters, problematic af slut-shaming, foiled abduction plots, you name it. But Unblocked ~blocked~ me from finishing it. (I couldn't help myself.) I made it all the way to the first really ~sensual~ scene (in the restaurant) but I had to stop because it was SO badly written. I liked both the narrators and I cannot even imagine how many times those poor souls had to practice reading this without lol-ing. The odd part is that Mann took a lot of time to flesh out both Derek & Frankie's jobs, motivations, and flaws. I could tell she put in some effort to research corporate real estate & I was on board! But THEN that absurd sex dialogue, my dudes, I could not EVEN. I can moooostly handle some dumb pillow talk in these books. But I lose my patience when I feel like the author feeds words like "juices, wet, moan" and other more x-rated descriptors into their Super Sexy Times Word Processor 2000™ and expect the reader to be like "yup, I am arouzzled" AND for us to believe that an intelligent, able heroine would be WOOED by it. Like, what?? Has she ever been messaged by a creep on Tinder or read a bathroom wall? This ain't nothing new! It ruined the rest of it for me, because I no longer believed Frankie would be attracted to Derek or that he deserved to waste any more of her time. Aim higher than 7th grade boy speak, Marni Mann. The Frankies of the world deserve better.

Not sure how I feel about this one

I like a well written sex scene as much as the next junkie but (can’t believe I’m saying this ), there is such thing as too much of a good thing. If you take those scenes out of this book you are looking at maybe 2 hours worth of story. The heroin was a bit of a wino and I think her friend was a little over the top. That being said, it was well written, intriguing, and the narration was outstanding ! I didn’t feel, even with the length, that it was a waste of time, but I was glad to get to the end. All questions answered, no cliffhangers and a hea. This is a solid read.

Christian Grey meet Derrick Block

This book is a non-stop raw stimulating SEX. There is a story line and a happily ever after but I can't believe that I hadn't found my this book earlier. Joe Arden voice makes an already sexy charter even better with his amazing voice.

Disappointing

Although I enjoyed the narration and was interested enough to persevere through the whole 16 hours, overall it was a disappointment. A good editing job would have tightened it up and lost about 4 hours in length. Mostly, though, the problem was that the characters often acted in ways that were not really believable and/or were almost too clueless to bear, making it difficult for me to care what happened to them. The final two novellas improved, mostly because Derek and Frankie became less like a couple of three-year-olds pretending to be grown up and more like real people.

What a great listen! I'm so glad that I got this all in one story, not sure the experience would have been the same if I hadn't.

He is an successful builder & alpha male with a plan, she is a successful real estate agent and a strong women. Together these two are a sexy hot couple with secrets. He is a little harsh at times but man I loved him. There story is fun, hot and emotional. I loved that this was long and we got the entire story.

The narration was great, Joe Arden was the perfect Derrick with his growly demanding tone and Molly Glenmore WAS Frankie! Great Casting!

Interesting Story...if you like crude

It was interesting, sexy, but very crude. You must like submission talk and weak women.

So disappointing

I have listened to so many books lately along this line. It's like Marni is just using bits and pieces from the other books. Who in the world uses put my finger in her hole? Come on REALLy!! I think this book is very boring and had to quit listening to it. Maybe even a different narrator would help. But doubt it. I normally don't do reviews or even bad ones but this book isn't worthy of the 4 star's it has!

Disappointing characters and story

I was unable to finish this tedious epic. Given the length the characters are shallow and juvenile. although I love erotic and steamy fiction I recommend this for readers who enjoy reading about male control freaks and sexually submissive women. the male lead despite his success is depicted as a flanette wearing lumberjack . Rather than hot the sexualiation of the female lead and descriptions and unbelievable repetitive nature all their sexual encounters was at best boring and at worst degrading and the level of female submission extremely male centric. There are lots of fantasy cliches from sexual encounters in public and a few shades of gray but if you prefer more balanced and moderm female heroic romances I recommend reading Helena Hunting over this author. can't fault the performance of the readers... wouldn't of made it far without them!
