A reluctant CIA asset with a tortured past...thrust into the line of fire against his will.
A simple undercover operation gone terribly wrong plunges Tom Dugan back into an existence he’d fought to escape.

When the CIA needed a fall guy, Dugan was the one it betrayed. Forsaken by those he’d trusted and with nowhere to turn, he’s made it his mission to stop the miscreants who ruined his life before they can destroy anyone else’s.

From human-trafficking rings and remorseless hit men to byzantine plots to alter the world order, Dugan must outwit those chartered with terminating him while battling overwhelming odds.

Consumed with clearing his name for a crime he didn’t commit, can he do so before his enemies paint the streets with his blood?

Oil tankers, pirates, bioweapons, sex slaves

Todd Haberkorn does a wonderful job with all the voices and accents, (American, British, Irish, Russian, German, Somali, etc) very believable. He does mispronounce a few words ("stuart" for "steward"), but you know what, I'm giving him a pass on that. Very well done.

What's nice about Dugan is that he isn't a superman. He makes mistakes, gets there too late, gets beat up and captured, he isn't all that good with guns. But he is strong, relentless, loyal, and quick thinking. He is helped by having contacts in the CIA, MI6, and wealthy corporate land. And then he meets Borgdonov and things get even better! Lots of sleazy bad guy to take out, intrigue, conspiracy, kidnapping, torture, bombing, and good old steadfast boots on the ground. There's also the probability of more sequels!

Russians are the really bad guys here, but also the best to have on your six.

I wasn't more

McDermott is an excellent story teller and to anyone who's read his other works shouldn't find it surprising that this one involves ships and boats and ordinary people thrust into extraordinary events.

I liked the narration and accents and voices used to differentiate the different characters. while it's not a deal breaker, it is annoying sometimes when all the characters are voiced the same way

all 3 great stories

Sometimes the box sets aren't worth it. This is not one of those times. If you're looking for some good action stories, these are great.

Waste of time!

After listening to over 100 audio books, this is the worst!
Writer must have ADHD.

Wasted credit!!!

Poor narration, more specifically the accents are horrendous. Stereo, typical, over-the-top villains, and if you’re looking for the namesake of this book series, good luck he’s like an Easter egg and I was surprise whenever he popped up.
He what I recommend this book to? No one!

excellent

great story, amazing narrator and I'm very picky about anyone other than Kevin Peirce, this story was captivating from the first chapter to the epilogue. spend the credit and give it a shot, you won't be disappointed. the author has a shtf type series that lead me here and I highly recommend it as well.

RE McDermott is brilliant

I found this author through his other books 'the complete disruption series' and I enjoyed then that much that I decided to listen to this series as well. All I can say is brilliant, I find his writing style captivating and Todd Haberkorns narration is second to none. I am gutted that I have come to the end and that says it all.

Cry, cheer, encore! Encore!!

Narration was perfect. All characters were given amazing perfect accents where needed.

Each story stands alone though main characters are in each.

Loved the realness of characters and believability of the storyline’s.

Mr McDermott has now become a favoured author of mine.

If you haven’t already, also look for his Disruption trilogy.
