Thrilling chapter

The book felt really as one would imagine a palace takeover in the Roman empire would be. Somehow it reminded me of HBOs Rome and Caesar's struggle.

I have enjoyed the series so far and hope the 7th book would be a nice conclusion and wrap up. My only issue so far with the series may be the author's need to one up himself by increasing the challanges and pressure on Stinger with each book or chapter. It sort of feels like it dilutes the value and enjoyment by doing this. I understand why he does it, but really, I think the story would go well in a more balanced manner, without trying to hard to be more unpredictable each chapter than before. Anyway, looking forward to the next book!

Fantastic

Simply fantastic it was well written and I enjoyed the narration as well. So far this is my favorite series on audible for sure. If you like history and fantasy it’s a perfect merging of the two.

An Empire Without End

I love this series. The mix of high fantasy and Rome work so well. Each book adds to the authors world. Steven does another amazing job at narrating the story.

I like the balance this book is setting up. Marc keeps the action going while showing that Stiger will not be solve every problem with a sword. I hope to see more political intrigue. the surprises in this book are introduced well and make sense to the story. I wonder where this story will go.

From book one to now. Can’t beat the character development and amazing adventures Marc has created. I could spend hours reading and re-reading this series to discover all the foreshadowing and Easter eggs from his other works.

Great book in a great series

I have enjoyed every book in this series. It’s a very well constructed world with characters that you love. This among the first fantasies series I have listened to. I went from nonfiction to historical fiction three great novels by Adrain Goldsworthy. So happy I found this work and it’s related other series. The writing is wonderful as is the narrator. More to come as well.

I am an early fan of Edleheit and all his books. Love them all after reading everyone.
