Quixotic Dark Fantasy

This story opened with a woman running from her boyfriend and his family's organized crime business. She received a package with a spider in it, and slowly her unique heritage unfolded. This story left me with a dichotomy of emotions. The beginning was tense and exciting, and the twists and turns made me unsure as to where the story was going; however, the story moved into events that left me uncomfortable. I did complete the story, and the ending was thrilling. Maya James' narration was fine, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Well… they could have been giant spiders…

Plenty of creeps and crawlies in this story, and not all of them are the eight-legged type. There are enough spiders to make your skin itch, though. Add betrayals, along with some drama from boyfriends old and new into the horror, and you've got some idea of what to expect as Sara's dark family secrets emerge.

Maya James sounded just like how I imagined Sara to be.

A Spine-Tingling Blend of Mystery, & Romance

I listened to The Tegen Cave by Inge-Lise Goss on audiobook, and let me just say, what an absolutely gripping story! The narrator, Maya James, did an amazing job bringing the characters and eerie atmosphere to life. Her voice pulled me right into the suspense, and I found myself completely lost in Sara Jones’s world of secrets, danger, and unexpected twists.

The story itself is a wild ride, part thriller, part paranormal mystery, with a dash of dark romance that keeps you guessing at every turn. The whole concept of spiders being used as weapons is so unique and creepy, but in the best way! I was at the edge of my seat the entire time, waiting to see who Sara could trust and what would happen as her mysterious heritage started to unfold.

If you love stories that mix suspense, supernatural elements, and heart-pounding moments, The Tegen Cave is a must-listen. I absolutely loved it, and I’ll definitely be checking out more books by Inge-Lise Goss!

A story of secrets

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated by Maya James, The Tegen Cave is a fine story surrounding the complicated story of Sara Jones trying to get out of a dark life that once dominated her existence. A strange web of secrets that were okay to me but the story wasn't as mesmerizing as I thought it would be.
