Mystery romance

I enjoyed this audiobook. It was a sweet romance along with a bit of a mystery. I really liked that the characters developed a friendship over months. I appreciated that Shannon didn’t fall head over heals for a pretty face when she was trying to get over a betrayal of her except boyfriend. I appreciated that the story wasn’t focused on the attraction they had for each other even though Shannon does recognize Rick as being quite handsome. I also appreciated that this was a clean story. I figured out what was wrong with Shannon’s father from the beginning and the reason behind it. But I didn’t figure out exactly how it was accomplished. That was the only thing I was frustrated by in the book. I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t considered sooner. The narrator also did a good job.

Romantic Suspense

Agent in Old Lace is a well written story with suspense, romance, and humor - the perfect combination! It had me laughing out loud at times, which is a refreshing change in a mystery. I love knowing that I can listen to Tristi’s audiobooks while my kids are around, because they are good, clean entertainment. Kristin Post did a good job with the different voices. Highly recommend!

An exciting who done it mystery with some romance and a twist at the end. I will look for more books by this author.

Romance Suspense with a side of comedy

This was a great Romance Suspense with a side of comedy story. Well, maybe not comedy but some light-hearted seriousness, at least from my point of view. I truly did enjoy my time in this author's story with this narrator's presentation of 'Agent in Old Lace'. If you choose to read this story, I do hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Good suspense book

I liked this clean romantic suspense story with humor, too. Shannon's ex tried to abduct her but she escaped. After the trial, she needs protection and the FBI gets involved. Rick is sent but can't stay with her all the time since she wouldn't have a male staying with her so he dresses as her aunt which is funny at times trying to fool people with the husky male agent trying to be a female. This is the first time listening to a book by Tristi Pinkston and the narrator, Kristin Post. They have both done a great job with the writing and the narration.
