Critic reviews

"Thinking and talking pets may not be to every taste, but Brown writes so compellingly of the sprightly residents of the Virginia Piedmont, both human and animal, that you have to be a real curmudgeon not to be won over. The author breathes believability into every aspect of this smart and sassy novel." (Publishers Weekly)

Good entry in the series

I love this series, which is obviously cozy. This book is not only a good mystery, but moves the characters foreward in their relationships with each other
As usual. I enjoy Kate Forbes as narrator. She IS Harrys voice.

Better and better

Each book gets better and better. Can’t wait to listen to the next one. I especially like how each book continues the personal stories of all the main characters.
