all the feels!

this series is just so good and continues to be with this book. the story is sweet and heart wrenching woth second and third chances and redemption and sacrifice and grief and love.... Connor crais and Samantha brentmoor are fantastic as always. absolutely perfect for this story. another winner by Elisabeth O'Rourke!

A great addition to the series!

I cannot lie to you I was hesitant about this one based on how book 2 evolved and knowing who this one was about HOWEVER! I really ended up enjoying this one!!! The narrators, Connor Crais & Samantha Brentmoor absolutely knocked this audio out of the park. They added so much emotion to an already emotionally tumultuous relationship and really made it top-tier.

Though my relationship and interpretation of Kate started off rocky, I really came to appreciate her character and couldn't help but root for her. It was really beautiful to watch her heal in the way she needed to given all that she had been through. I really liked how Beck was constantly there for her, and they both let down their walls for each other.

All in all, I think the angst in this one was at the same level of book 1 and I am curious to see the rest of the friend group continue to get their happy endings! Pls pls pls can we get more Luke/Juliet cameos I miss them sm.

I’m in love 🥰

Omg! Beck is really giving Josh a run for his money as favorite guy written by Elizabeth. Omg this book had my heart in a vice and what I would give to be able to read this book for the first time again. Beck and Kate are too precious to me and there are not enough words to encapsulate the perfection that is them. Kate, coming back from her most recent stint in rehab to win back her husband only to see how things have changed since she was gone. And Beck, helping her out while she was trying to win her husband back. It was angsty and stressful seeing what they both go through to get to their happy ending but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life isn’t always straightforward and happy, Kate is very well versed in this and the pain she’d endured and overcome makes me so happy for her. She may have came back for the wrong reasons but she found her way. I loved every minute of this book and can’t wait for the next one!

Another really good book

Another really good book in this series. I haven’t listened to a lot of Elizabeth’s audiobooks. I’m a new fan. Samantha is amazing and just brings the book to life. Looking forward to listening to more

Comeback

Connor was amazing as a narrator. Samantha has become a narrator I enjoy listening to as well. Narrating was great. Now to the story, Kate is fresh out of rehab when she discovers Caleb has moved on with someone else. She is on mission to get Caleb back at any cost. I did not like some of the things she was doing, she came off as selfish and immature. Then there is Beck who has loved her and is there for her despite her self-destruction. I don't want to spoil it but I was happy with how it eventually ended.

It’s a beautifully crafted story of learning to let go and how to forgive yourself.

What an emotional roller coaster!! Kate’s character development is incredible. There were moments where I was like WTH is she thinking?! LOL I went into this story completely blind not knowing what to expect. It’s much more emotional than I thought but I was also pleasantly surprised at the complexity of The Summer You Found Me. It’s more than a spicy romance. It’s a beautifully crafted story of learning to let go and how to forgive yourself. (With incredible spice 🔥) The Duet narration was AMAZING. What a rough and wild ride with the most beautiful ending! Hands down a 5 star read!

Connor Crais & Samantha Brentmoor were FANTASTIC. Incredible audiobook! I need the others in audios stat!

Great series

I really enjoyed this book. I really didn’t care for Kate in the beginning and wasn’t sure I would be able to like her, but as the story unfolds I did. As the story went on and her past was revealed and I could read her inner thoughts about her past, I came to empathize with her and understand why she made some of the choices she did. I liked the character development of Kate throughout the book. Beck was such a good man and I loved his character, patience, and how he loved Kate for who she was including all her flaws.

I would recommend reading the other books in this series before this one.

I read the book in KU and listened to the audiobook. The audiobook is 5/5 narration. It is done in duet narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais. Connor Crais voice was just chef’s kiss!

I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Great Redemption Story!

Wow! What a redemption story!

In this book we get Kate's view and it is a heartbreaking tale of hitting the bottom and working your way back up. You may not like her but she is who she is and I loved her journey. Beck also in this story was amazing. So much happens I can't describe it but be ready for all the feels and dive into this book! Also for my audio fans - get this on audio! Amazing job done by narrators Samantha Brentmoor & Connor Crais!

I definitely recommend reading The Summer I Saved You first so you get the whole Kate/Caleb backstory.

Loved this duet-style narration!

Listening to the audiobook after reading the book, made me fall even harder for Kate and Beck! Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais performed this audiobook in duet-style narration, and both brought the heat and the passion. Seriously, these two were the perfect casting choices for Kate and Beck. Samantha added a flair and edge to her tone to convey Kate’s guarded, dry sense of humor. However, when Kate’s layers are peeled back, Samantha’s softer, compassionate voice is shown by beautifully conveying Kate’s vulnerabilities and growth to heal and find love with Beck. Connor channeled a deeper, possessive tone for Beck that highlighted his dedicated and secret devotion to Kate, which had been simmering for quite some time. Samantha and Connor also portrayed various side characters showing versatility for each new voice. Plus, the delivery and timing of the lively conversations and swoony moments will have you laughing and your heart squeezing.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a passionate friends-to-lovers romance with a hot hunky bar owner, a feisty red-headed accountant looking to start over, a creepy cozy cabin in the woods, Elliot Springs, evil queen allusions, Game of Thrones, moving on from the past, finding peace, recovering from addiction, job hunting, seductive camping trips, he falls first, healing, and a HEA that was there all along then you will love Kate and Beck’s story. I always look forward to more from my fave, Elizabeth O’Roark.

REDEMPTION at it’s finest

This duo is EVERYTHING! The narration is perfection. Obsessed.
The story… how do I even talk about this. When I found out that it was the ex wife of the last hero’s book … I was like no way I will like this book. Wrong. Kate was everything. Loved this story. Read this series.
