Not her best

Story was ok but not normally as great as I know JA Huss books are. It started in the middle of the story. No back character knowledge. I kept getting lost on who was who .
I missed the EOBS. Not my favorite.

Thise story line lives up to my expectations of JA Huss writing. never saying away of multiple relationships that meld together perfectly. I would recommend this as a satisfying read

Mythological Fantasy Romance (Erotica?}

I truly enjoyed this read. It's short for a JA Huss story, and very fast-paced. True to her writing style, save this one for serious listening time. Her story building is complex and missing a piece means you get lost in the plot. I'll even go back of I find I got distracted. The narrators did a fantastic job with this story. Great building of a family from a bunch of outcasts, showing Star as the pivot around the connection. Each person brings their strengths, but together they can accomplish things that were impossible on their own.
Now for the sex: it's hot and raw. It is part of the discovery of their powers, so not forced, but expect hot and explicit. This is definitely not vanilla, but reverse harem by definition is spicy. You will not be disappointed if you like lots of spicy scenes. This is definitely an earbuds only read!
Totally enjoyed this book. It's a bit lighter than Julie's last books and feels a lot like some of her first fantasy work (Junco Series). It's a bit lighter than her more recent books. Honestly if you are interested in reading more from this author start with completed series, not ones she's still working on. it's much easier to read her work back to back.
