Excellent! The description and detail of the city and character building draws you into a city of beauty and dreadful traditions. JA Huss draws you in building suspense and danger along the way.

Unexpectedly Amazing

I wasn't sure in the first few chapters, but by part two I was fully invested and needed to know what was happening next. This was one of those "one more chapters" at 10 pm books that result in you trying to function on an hour of sleep and entirely too much coffee the whole next day. The narration cast was amazing, and they were all so well suited to each character. I wish all audiobooks were done this well!

All the characters are perfect and the world is amazing and I will be thinking of this book for weeks after this. That’s the good sign a book is worth reading/listening to. Love it!!!!

What a story

I was stuck on this story from the beginning. I love your mind Ms. Huss. I had a couple of sleepless nights. Narration is entertaining and keeps you engaged. What's do you have for me next month?

Satisfies a craving I didn't know i had

This story was captivating from the very start. The characters are so well developed and the plot kept me guessing the whole way through. This was one of those books that leave you feeling like you've lost something when you get to the end, because you can no longer spend time in that world with the characters. I absolutely cannot wait for the next one!

She does it again

Going into a new JA Huss book you know a lot is going to be thrown at you, from character development to individual story lines and of course the unexpected twist that is bound to happen. The best thing you can do is sit back and enjoy the ride. Everything will eventually come together and be explained or set up the next book, but you will never be disappointed.

Holy WOW!!

JA Huss has REALLY outdone herself this time!
If you have ever read a review of a Huss book you probably aren't a stranger to seeing reviews like this but this book…my GOD!!
No spoilers but the layers and depth to this incredible sci-fi fantasy romance are just plain astounding. Well developed characters narrated by top notch talents sent me on one of the best journeys I have had in a long time.
AND IT'S GOING TO BE A SERIES!!

Love Tyse and Carla together. Best combo ever..Their drive to survive and even save the little God. can't wait to see what their journey brings to the table..

My Latest Obsession!!

Be prepared for the book hangover after finishing this one! It’s the first book of a series and I’m so glad there are more because one book is not enough.

This story is told from 4 points of view, which is a unique way to push the story forward as each character adds new information and perspective. Each character is distinctive and well developed, so there was no problem with keeping track of who was who.

I love the world that’s created in this story, and still think of all the possibilities the spark is capable of. It’s the kind of story that can have you daydreaming of random things for days after reading it!

By far this has been the most captivating book I’ve read in a very long time, I highly recommend it!
