She still manages to request that they find her dear friend, Cherry Parker, so that she can say goodbye. Piece of cake. Finding people is pretty high on the list of things that Rain does best.

But when it comes to ghosts, nothing is ever quite what it seems. Before long, his simple missing person's case takes a dark and twisted turn. And Rain realizes he's been so busy trying to protect Danny that he forgot to protect himself.

If he doesn't turn things around—and quickly—his spooky life might be cut short for good.

Really good series, very entertaining, narrator does a fine job bringing the characters to life

Still love this series

Unsurprisingly, I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook and binged it every chance I got, while also not wanting it to end, because then what? I can confidently say that if you liked the previous ones in the series, you'll like this one. (And you have to listen to the previous ones in order to really follow this one, so there's that.)
I love Rain's snark & the dynamic he has with pretty much everyone in his inner circle of friends and family, though obviously Danny the most. While a lot of majorly serious stuff occurs, along with plenty of suspense and danger, I laughed often. (There's a LOT of sexy times too, a LOT, and it's pretty hot. I don't know how they have so much energy for it, tbh.)
There are times that Rain has clues basically thrown in his face by ghosts, but those clues just get dropped by the wayside. He just continues on with his investigation as if those clues had never been tossed his way. I mean, I know he's gotta get proof and such, and maybe ghosts aren't always reliable, but geez. There are always at least a couple instances during each book that I want to grab him by his fictional shoulders and shake him. He's just too smart for that. Luckily, I love everything else about the book.
Kirt did an excellent job with narration again - he's perfect for Rain in particular.
I don't know if there will be another book with these characters or in this world, but I'd jump on it if there ever is one.

another great one

Amazing installment of the series.

OK, I have to start by saying, that even though I absolutely enjoyed this story and it was right on track with all the others. Had fantastic character development between Rain and Danny as well as everyone else. The whole time I was riveted. I love how with each book everyone has become more and more like family. It makes me feel very invested in the lives. I want to know.
As always, Kirt does a fantastic job with the narration.

However, at the very beginning of the story I was confused, I felt like I missed a piece of the story. Either a prolog to the start of this one (bk 4) or the epilogue to be 3. There is mention of something happening that didnt happen in the actual storyline of either books. I even went back and relisten to bk 3 just to make sure. Nope. nothing.

Great series overall, kinda bleh ending

The series was great overall, the banter is hilarious, they're adorable, and the mysteries were interesting. The conclusion was a bit disappointing. I thought it was weirdly wrapped up with how there were zero consequences at the end and no mention of emotional fallout. It was like the author got tired of the story and wanted to just get it over with by the end. Still, a good read and good narration.

I loved the interaction. Serious work all done with a bit of snip. Only one suggestion. Be sure that ‘me’ and I are used correctly. I picked up a couple of these two used incorrectly. Other than that, great. Let’s see more of this ‘gang’.

This got me in all the feels. ❤️

This book is action-packed and intense with continual funny parts that had laughing out loud. I got so mad I wanted to throw my phone. Then I cried my eyes out, but in the end I was so happy with how everything worked out. I just love Rain and Danny so much. This book is amazing. I don't want this series to end.

This last book was hot, but the author forgot book 2. The last ghost could not take over his body. I want a Danny in my life

Amazing!

I found myself laughing at random times while listening to the audiobook. This is book 4 in the series focusing on the same couple, two very different men who I enjoy very much! The interplay between them is very realistic and fun. I am impressed ny the depth of the plot. The cases they solve are as unpredictable and fascinating as ever. The story flows quite quickly, and keeps your brain engaged as good page-turners do. Kirt Graves does a wonderful job keeping the two main characters vocally distinct, as well as bringing the individual personalities to life through inflection, emotion, tone. All in all, this is one story that I highly recommend!
