Oh wow, another great book, I can so relate to Evelyn. I lost my husband 12 years ago and I’ve been by myself doing everything by myself. I do have boys, but they don’t live in the same town I do, and I’m 72, she just resonated with me more than any character in a long time. Looking forward to the next books.

Great story & narration

Great start to Alpha Cove series by Susan Stoker with terrific characters, wonderful location setting and fantastic story. I loved listening to this audiobook narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers who brought Chad and Britt’s story to life.

Romance AND Suspense! Sign me up!!

5⭐️ 3🌶️ 5🎧 Lobster Cove and the Young brothers are dreamy! This found family, forced proximity, workplace romance with the added element of suspense made for one very good story!

Chad and Britt were so cute together and had chemistry since their first meeting in a parking lot. Britt found herself quickly in a pickle and thanks to the Young family found her way out just as quickly. I loved how Chad and his family took her and treater her like family from the very beginning.

Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers narrate this audiobook, and they did a fantastic job! I’ve listened to Lucy a couple times now and I enjoy listening to her. Teddy is one of my favorites, I will listen to him read literally anything! I loved how they still had two narrators even though the story is written in 3rd person POV.

Hallmark backdrop meets romance and mystery💕

I’m only half thru this audiobook and I’m in love. I love the descriptive way of describing the location and the characters in this book. The love story reminds me of a steamier hallmark movie that all of us women always wished we got when watching those movies. I love it. Even though I haven’t finished I don’t think Susan is going to disappoint in the slightest. Buy the audiobook if you like everything about a little mystery semi steamy hallmark romance in a beautifully described backdrop.

WOW!!!

I had sworn off modern love stories for years, but THIS one is well worth a listen! Green flags all around from Chad, his brothers and Evelyn, the strong matriarch of the Young household. Britt is no meek “damsel in distress” either - she truly holds her own!

The voice acting is superb as well: both narrators have a pleasing voice that’s easy on the ears, and that made it super easy for me to get immersed in the story from each character’s perspective.

Overall, I highly recommend “The Soldier” - and I look forward to Zach’s story next! :)

Loved it!

What a great start to a new series. I absolutely love anything Susan Stoker writes and I loved this narration

Good except…..

Okay loved the story/plot and this has to be one of the only dual narrations I can tolerate so those were all a plus…. What I hated was the in-depth description of bodily fluids when spicy moments came up. This is very much a light hearted story so when the vibe turned from awwwww love story to oh wow all these juices are coming out of me, it was quite disruptive to the flow. I got so tired of how the author described the spicy scenes I just started skipping through them. Authors please stop describing body function and secretions it is not sexy. Also there is nothing hot about a mamma boy so just leave that out next time.

what a great start to a new series

Chad & Britt: triggers-abandonment, family discord, grief, loss. this is more like it from Susan Stoker. I loved this. it's a different kind of military romance but still so good. the Young brothers all in different branches if the military, are coming home to take care of their mom and family business. Chad is the first one home. he happens to run into a hard on her luck Britt and brings her home to his mom to give her a fresh new start. this story is everything you need, comedy, steamy, mystery and action. a good rest to start the series.

Another Awesome Story from Susan

This is a new storyline with new characters. It has everything we’ve come to love in a Susan Stoker book. Alpha men and stronger than they know women. There is always a bad guy and Susan does not disappoint. She’ll have you cheering and turning the page as the good guys kick… well you know. I really enjoyed this book. I cannot wait for the next one in the series.
