Publisher's Summary

Liyah Reed returns to the Middle East hoping for something more than her humdrum life back at home, but what she finds is beyond her wildest dreams....

Five years after her first stay as a foreign exchange student, American librarian Liyah returns to the Middle East. The move goes against her practical nature, but even a plain Jane like herself sometimes thirsts for adventure. When a favor for a friend thrusts her into the path of beguiling billionaire Asad Sharif, Liyah’s sensible life may become something far more...sensual. Liyah is ensnared by Asad’s seductive charm, but she’s way out of her depth. However, with a push from Asad’s meddling sister, Liyah is soon leading the lavish lifestyle of a sheikha.

Billionaire businessman Asad Sharif has willing women falling at his feet on multiple continents, but what he needs is a wife...or at least the appearance of one. To convince investors that he’s a dependable man, what Asad needs is a fake fiancée. The bookish American Liyah is the perfect choice, and when she accepts his pretend proposal, Asad’s sister is eager to help Liyah look the part. When his shy wallflower unexpectedly blooms into a stunning beauty, Asad will have to work doubly hard not to lose himself in Liyah’s strawberry blonde hair and enticing curves.

In the playground of the wealthy Middle Eastern elite, things are getting hotter than ever for the sheikh and his would-be sheikha, but all fake marriages must eventually come to an end....

Excellent Contemporary Romance

It is hard to go wrong with Leslie North books. I specially love all her Sheikhs stories! It is amazing how she can put so much in such a short listen. The story moves at a great pace and wraps up nicely at the conclusion. It did not feel rushed or incomplete. It was an excellent story that you can easily read/ listen to at one sitting.

Narration was great and brought the story to life.

I’m looking forward to book two in this delightful series!

Sweet short sheikh's story!

I love the two main characters, Liyah and Asad. This story is well written. I love Leslie North's sheikhs stories and I really enjoyed my listening. The narration is also well done and easy to listen. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Another Winner!

I love the escapism and exotic locations of Leslie North books. This story takes place in Dubai and is full of imagery. I loved how the spunky American met the Sheikh at a restaurant/club and they felt instant attraction. Liyah and Asad both fought their feelings, and what starts out as business leads to so much more. I also loved his meddling sister in the story along with his father's friend. So many matchmakers to stir the pot. Erin Coker did a great performance with this book and had distinguishable characters along with great accents. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I can't wait for the next book in this series. This book is a standalone listen and its complete story. Time well worth listening.

Exciting Story!

Leslie North has written a enchanting story and Erin Coker did a smashing job of narrating it.
Liyah was a shy bookworm and an introvert. She had been an exchange student to the middle east and had make friends there. After five years passed from being in the states, she decided to go back and live there because the people were so friendly. She tried to get a job at a library, but they never called her back. She was offered a job by Asad Sharif to pretend to be his fiancee so the investors he had would see that he was not just a young man that could not conduct a business. Liyah excepted the job so she could get the money. She went to the palace to live for a while but she didn't expect to desire him. He desired her and he didn't expect that either. That is when passion took over and made it tough for them.

A Lovely Romance with Great Characters

An absolutely lovely book, Liyah and Asad definitely keep us on our toes. The aspiring librarian and the sheikh could be so wonderful together, but they certainly struggle with emotional honesty. I was definitely rooting hard for them to finally figure things out. I was certainly smiling by the end, and that's what's important. Well written, and great narration make this book and series va winner. I can't wait to see what happens with Liyah's friend and Asad's brother in a future book maybe. I'll have to check and see what the next book will be. I'm excited. This is a voluntary review of a copy gifted by the author, and I highly recommend the book.

Great Read

The Sheikh’s Pretend Fiancée (The Sharif Sheikhs #1) by Leslie North was a great read. Loyal has returned to the Middle East when things weren't going the way she planned back home. It has been five years since she was a foreign exchange student in the Middle East. She accidentally meets Asad and things don't go as she planned. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more by Leslie North.

A Sheikh billionaire I'd role play with!

Adored listening to this audiobook narrated by Erin Coker. She was flawless in her narration of the Sharif Sheikhs, doing both Asaid and Liyah. I've enjoyed a few Leslie North audiobooks previously and this one was an easy listen and I was swept along from the start. There were emotional hills for the two main characters to climb, peppered with bits to make me smile, some heat, seduction and of course HEA.
