All the Feels

This book had many of the same ingredients in other romances: hot guy, good sex, decent story. It stood apart from other books by communicating the emotions, high and low, better than most. The characters were honest with each other, and I felt that the author relayed that same honesty to the reader by allowing us to feel the pain and joy along with the characters. Definitely on my "will listen again" list, and definitely credit worthy.

It was a great story! Just a enough heat to keep me listening. Powered through it in 2 days over the weekend. Definitely recommend.

I picked up Fight Or Flight at a thrift store, I didn’t know anything about the book. I bought it because I loved all Samantha Young’s books I’ve read before. I bought the audiobook while Audible had a sale. I went into the store blindly and I have no regrets, the story surprised me by how good it was. The plot was awesome, the characters fantastic. Every minute of the book was worth my time, I was entertained, felt in love with the story and all the characters.

This book is one of the best love stories I’ve read in the last few months. It’s realistic and honest. I highly recommend it!!!

I don’t write reviews often but this is a great book . The narrator did a fantastic job! Just get the book you won’t be disappointed.

No where NEAR enough groveling

You don’t get to come back from that without some serious explanations and groveling. That was not cool.


The Scottish accent is unfortunately appealing :(

Reasonably okay otherwise I suppose especially if you love a LOT of details about the setting and appearance of characters!

Samantha Young perfection!

This book was everything Samantha Young excels at. A HOT roguish hero and a strong minded heroine colliding and eventually healing each other. The narration was supherb! I highly recommend listening to this on audio because of the heroes Scottish accent!😍 the narrator nails it and makes the shift in voices so clear and wonderful to get lost in. so excited to be sucked into another Sam Young book!

Couldn't Finish :(

Stuck with the story until partway through chapter 8 when I quit. Caleb was just too rude, insulting and unpleasant. I couldn't relate to the attraction she felt for him. He was rude even during sex. Mood-killer! This was disappointing since I really wanted to find some redeeming qualities in him but they were just too miniscule to make up for all the d*ckishness.

Rom-Com at It's Best

This was a super fun, sexy, sensitive, and sweet read. Ava and Caleb meet in a rush to get out of Arizona. Caleb starts off as a real jerk by cutting in front of Ava to take the last first class seat. Well, Ava just can't get away from Caleb in this airport because as they are waiting Caleb steals the last seat in an eatery and cuts the line to get coffee before the flight. Ava and Caleb butt heads all the way to a one night stand while they are waiting for flights to get back to Boston. Once in Boston fate just will not leave them along when a mutual friend attempts to match make them. Fun and sexy times are had by all but they are both holding on to secrets. I really enjoyed this story; however, I did find some of the wrap ups to quick and skimmed over. I would love a spin off for some of the other characters.

Love this author; Do not like this book

I absolutely love Samantha Young novels. But this one was not her best. She did a great job making me hate the Bastard Scott, because i definitely did. what kind of jackass doesn't believe in saying please and thank you for any reason??? I kept expecting and waiting for him to have this great character arc where he becomes this wonderful guy that she should fall in love with. And i kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting. i forced myself to keep listening. I stopped at 23 minutes left because it never happened and she was immediately ready to take him back just because he tricked her into getting on a plane with him again. Everything was just suddenly fine. Just a big NOPE from me on this one.....
