Enter the Dreaming again as the blockbuster audio adaptation of “the greatest epic in the history of comic books” continues in The Sandman: Act II. James McAvoy returns to voice Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, in this sequel to the number-one New York Times audio best seller. Journey into a world of myths, imagination, and terror based on the best-selling DC comic books and graphic novels written by Neil Gaiman (returning as the Narrator), and lose yourself in another groundbreaking, immersive drama adapted and directed by the award-winning audio master Dirk Maggs.

In the absolutely packed Act II, the dark fantasy resumes and the Sandman expands into the French Revolution, ancient Rome, 19th-century San Francisco, eighth-century Baghdad, and beyond. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter.

Just close your eyes and listen again as the greatest epic continues.

Act II of the audio series The Sandman adapts collected volumes four (Season of Mists) and five (A Game of You) of the comics in their entirety, and most of volume six (Fables & Reflections).

Good Omens, a very hilarious (and very British) adult fantasy novel by beloved authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, has amassed a large, faithful following over the three decades since it was first published in 1990. And now, thanks to the recent Amazon Prime TV adaptation, Good Omens is more popular than ever. If you're not too familiar with either the book or the show, references to Aziraphale or Agnes Nutter may leave you scratching your head. That's why we're here with everything you need to know about Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch.

Over the years, I have developed a healthy appreciation for the razor sharp, creative, impish mind of Neil Gaiman. I try to enjoy a broad range of authors, but a new work by Mr. Gaiman never ceases to peak my interest and very, very rarely disappoints. That said, I can't imagine what it must be to propose converting a graphic concept piece, like The Sandman, into a spoken word work of art. That's just what has happened in this offering. Thankfully for all of us who chose to spend our 13 hours in thie variety of worlds created by these talented people. I have to imagine that each and every one of these A list actors chuckled softly to themselves, quietly acknowledging that this is why they chose to do what they do. Gaiman is likely the pinnacle of creative minds to me, who has, once again, crafted a timeless gem. The actors were masterful. It kind of makes me think what it must have felt like for my relatives, before tv, huddling around the radio for a new installment of their favorite show. It's just so good! I want to bottle Neil Gaiman's psyche and love of mythology and sprikle it in my morning coffee. I couldn't have liked it more. Now, I want them to craft a graphic novel so I can see how my dream gets interpreted again and again. This might rival American Gods and that's saying a whole lot!

I'm constantly amazed

I usually don't need written reviews but really well done and worth listening to the first one was free then it got me all tucked in there and I just wanted to hear the next one it kind of got a little I don't know out there at the end that's what I was going for if you write 4 in stuff about God's all that it's pretty interesting. worth the listen

part one and part two are pretty damn excellent

This was absolutely lovely. The stories are very disjointed and some of them are kind of disturbing actually but at the same time they are really good and it’s just wonderful to listen to them one at a time, be immersed into that one story.

Wonderful

As immensely entertaining as Act I, this installment of Neil Gaiman’s ‘The Sandman’ has more “short stories” than Act I (in keeping with its comic/graphic novel brethren). James McAlvoy still shines as Morpheus/Dream. Kat Dennings delights as his sister, Death. The casting is superb, and I could listen to Gaiman narrate a telephone directory.

And the hits just keep coming…

The performance of The Sandman: Act II was excellent. The actors who played the characters were well-chosen and did a great job. The theme music was also perfect for the story. I have read the complete set of The Sandman graphic novels, but I could listen to this performance again and again.

Excellent Performance

Act 1 was so well done, and Act 2 delivered as well. Great voice work by everyone, and the continuation of some characters story arcs from Act 1 was a enjoyable surprise. Throughly enjoyed this! On to Act 3

Great continuation from Act 1
