Publisher's summary

The eastern front is a place where soldiers never sleep and artillery guns howl without rest. This quagmire is where the Salamander Kampfgruppe has been hurled once again, just another cog in the grand war machine of their fatherland. Still, there's only so much one unit can do. As the fighting ramps up with renewed enemy attacks and a brand-new weapon that pitches the Federation's quantity against the Empire's quality, Tanya faces one of her toughest battles yet, making a certain visitor's arrival a sight for sore eyes...

narrator mixes up characters

Narrator does a poor job voicing the various characters. In particular, shedoes appear to know that Serebryakov is Tanya adjutant giving the later a low male voice.

First narrator was great. Second was good. This one bad.

All in the title. This narrator change has hurt this volume horrendously. The narrator is plodding pace, combined with the authors regressions into circular pondering on a previously covered subjects and makes this one a difficult listen.

Good story,Narrator need improvement

Narrator had hard time changing from one to others.
She had 1-2second of muddled voice when doing character transitioning in the 1st half so it hard to tell who is who.
this problem getting better though in the 2nd half.

Voices

I miss the different voices for the different characters of the previous books. Tanya doesn’t sound like herself despite the narrator being her voice actress.

Publisher deserves a tax credit for this narrator

I love this story but the narration made it impossible to finish. Not 10 minutes in and there are 5 glaring mispronunciations which I presume continue throughout the whole novel. The cadence is so lousy I had to increase the speed by 10% just to make it bearable. Will be writing the publisher and begging them to choose a different narrator for future installments.

grate content, below avarege narration

as in the headlines, changing the narrator midway through the series is a bad move, the voice intonation changes every so often by several characters was an interesting mental exercise to figure out who the hell speaking

So Happy for Book 7

Overall great continuation for the story, despite the situation not changing much. By this book I was expecting to already hear more about the Unified States involvement or the end of the East part of the war considering the similarities between WWI. The narrator is slow!!! I normally listen at 1.25 and I had to double check if I accidentally put it to .75, listen to it at 1.50 speed and save your sanity. Overall great addition to the series.

more of our favorite psychopath

tanya is one of the best written high functioning psychopaths to listen to. a goal oriented person, with no moral qualms about warping interpretations of the law while staying within the letter of how it's written. gives no shits about others unless they have value to her. honestly tanya is a terrible person, but a great character to follow in a story because she's interesting. the story shows much of human weakness in different ways, and sheds light on the darkness humans are capable of.
