Informative and Factual
The author helps to both normalize
the topic of pelvic floor health as well as provide an informative understanding of the functions the pelvic floor plays in a woman's life and health. As someone who has struggled to find good information and techniques that help to maintain a strong and healthy body including pelvic floor health, I finished this book with both a greater understanding of this area of my body as well as natural ways I can improve my own body and how it functions. I believe this is a great book to help both providers who serve women as well as women who are seeking research on ways to heal or improve their bodies from the impacts of childbirth and or aging and improve the quality of their life. Ms. Dolson offers readers indepth research in a short read that covers so much about the role of having a healthy pelvic floor, how it influences a woman's quality of life, the various regions and functions, and more importantly how to achieve a stronger and healthy pelvic floor. I listened to this book but plan to purchase it as well so I can have the different exercises quickly available to incorporate into my yoga practice. As a bonus, I also learned a more effective way to do kegals which I did not learn from any of my medical providers.

Empowering and Fascinating
Heather offers history, science, insight, and practices empowering the reader to understand and honor the body. She offers practices to strengthen and improve our health. This book is one I’ll continue returning to for its great resources and practices. I love the focus on ending taboos and stigma around women’s health, and empowerment towards healing our bodies!!!

Very enlightening!
This book contains a wealth of knowledge that I was not aware of. Since I have experienced some of the the symptoms discussed (and never discussed with a health care professional), I no longer feel so alone or embarrassed about some of the issues. I now have valuable information to help me with some of the concerns discussed in the book and the courage to seek help if I need to. Heather's voice is very easy and soothing to listen to. Makes the book very enjoyable, yet enlightening!

Learning so much
I learned so much about the pelvic floor can have such impact on many aspects of life for women (for men too!) I love how matter of factly she discusses this topic bringing it out into the light and taking out the shame that can come with it.
